Re: How much FO/CC?-Cliff, is it important to space the flax oil out
W. Hansen
Elliot,
I would consider any dietary instructions by Dr. Budwig as a rule. She had her reasons why she laid out the protocol out exactly as she did. Why don't we just take the easy way and go by what Dr.Budwig has said rather than add our wrinkles? Let's consider the M¨¹sli breakfast for example: 3 tblsp FO plus 6 tblsp CC plus milk for thinning plus 4 tblsp flax meal plus fruit plus nuts That is all I can eat in one sitting, so why even consider whether we could eat all fo/cc at once? Wilhelm Thank you, Wilhelm. But is that a strict rule? Is it possible to take it all at one time in the morning or in the afternoon, for that matter, and still get the same benefit? Re: shake thinner and kraut juice

Jim, making soured cabbage juice is so quick and easy that there is
never a good reason to run out of it. Check the files for the recipe. It takes 3 days the first time to make the juice, but after that, because you use some of the original soured cabbage juice, you can have a new batch ready in 24 hours. I started about a gallon-and-a-half of soured cabbage juice early this afternoon. It will be ready by Friday or Saturday, and after that, I don't expect to allow myself to run out again. I am convinced, from all I've read, that drinking 8 to 16 ounces of soured cabbage juice daily is one of the best AND cheapest things a person can do for generaly health and for protection from cancer or to help fight cancer. Charles--Dr. Budwig said not to keep fo/cc as a leftover
Dr. Budwig emphasized the importance of always eating the fo/cc and
ground flaxseeds as soon as they are prepared, as they can lose their energetic value. The exposure to air negates the healing quality very rapidly. Make just enough to eat at the time, finish it off. And for the next meal, make a fresh batch if you want to receive the healing value that Dr. Budwig discussed. Otherwise, it may not be doing any healing work for your cells. The electrons in the oil have to be protected from exposure to air. That's why the oil comes in a thick dark container and why the seeds have a hard protective cover. Use a measuring Tbsp. and not a tableware Tbsp. The measuring spoon holds 15 ml, the tableware one 10 ml, that is a big difference. As long as the FO is blended with CC you will not get too much. I would go to 6 FO a day. Also be sure you are using the hand held blender (easier to use and clean) than a large counter top. A hand held mixer in my experience did not blend well enough to keep the oil from separating from the CC. I discovered this when I kept part of a batch to take later in the day. Re: substitutes for cottage cheese
W. Hansen
Hi! I am 36 and in chemo for breast cancer and very scared going forward. I can embrace much of what I have read about Dr. Budwig's protocol except I am scared to eat dairy products.Hi Vanessa, dairy is part of the Budwig Protocol. It looks to me that you want to do the Budwig Protocol. In that case please read our files to find out more about it. Pay special attention to the ground flaxseeds (Linomel) that are part of this protocol. They have special significance in breast cancer cases. I have been good about the flax oil, but I have always been good about getting good oils and having a reasonably good organic vegetable rich diet.Taking flax oil by itself (without it being mixed with cottage cheese) is not the answer. It can work against you. Dr. Budwig said so. I was diagnosed while nursing my son and had nodal involvement. As the chemo draws to an end (thank goodness) I am realizing I don't want to do radiation or have a bilateral mastectomy. That is perfectly understandable. What I cannot understand is that you were less concerned about taking chemo into your body than you are about eating dairy. The only explanation that I can up with is that you are/were uninformed in both instances. so anyhow -since i was nursing when diagnosed too, i have really developed a fear of milk and dairy products, which, organic or not are ruined in processing and full of cow hormones.IMO, the value of the fo/cc mixture far outweighs any negative effects of dairy. It sounds as though you have been listening too much to the no-dairy lobbyists. If you want to do the Budwig Protocol, get the best cottage cheese or quark you can, or make your own. Get organic dairy if you can, and then stop worrying about it. Worry it is bad for you. I REALLY REALLY want to be oxygenated. are there substitutes for the cottage cheese? No, you need to get over your no-dairy fears. Is the flaxseed oil in he fridge section at Whole Foods adequate? No, it needs to be mixed with dairy as it says in our files. Best wishes for better health to you, Wilhelm |
shake thinner and kraut juice
silouan22
There seems to be agreement that CC needs thinning, especially to make a shake. Milk is
the most frequent suggestion although water has also been mentioned. Since I make my own CC I have a lot of whey, and it seems logical to add that, which I do since it contains some soured protein and other nutrients. How would it compare with milk in nutricianal value? Is it likely Dr.Budwig would have recommended 8 oz of sauerkraut juice morning and evening? That is a lot of juice. My home-made kraut goes dry drinking only a quarter of a cup, or less, just in the morning. thanks, jim |

Did you add the whole leaf? If you did that is incorrect. You only put the internal juice in. However , the way I have is that I buy a bottle of Aloe vera juice from the health food shop and have 40ml before food 2-3 x a day. Don't mix it in the juice, it should be taken on its own. Elliot...
it is in the files... directly from Dr.Budwig to you. 3 tblsp FO in your morning M¨¹sli fo/cc, the rest at lunch. None at night except what is consumed in Oleolux. Wilhelm Subject: [FlaxSeedOil2] Re: How much FO/CC?-Cliff, is it important to space the flax oil out throughout the day, or can I take it all at once at one sitting. I am thinking it is probably much better to space it out, but it would be convenient to eat it all at one time. Thanks for any help on this. Re: traveling

Hi, Kathryn.
Great stuff! Thanks for all the info about how you stay with the diet while traveling. About going to the chiropractor and putting a rolled- up something behind your back---it is a sad thing that car manufacturers still are not paying attention to real back and neck support. I happen to have a Volvo stationwagon, and Volvo does indeed pay attention to such things. The neck support in my car is so close to me that it just about touches the back of my head, and I the seat gives me support from the top of my neck all the way down to my waist. Best wishes, Elliot |
Juicing Aloe Vera---DON'T! YECH!!!
breathedeepnow
Hi, all.
I read on the internet that one should "add a little fresh aloe vera leaf when juicing." I did so today. I added a piece of leaf that was about 5 inches long and an inch wide. It completely ruined the juice. Not only did it turn the juice as bitter as heroin, but it also turned into green SLIME! I had to pour the juice down the drain. I'm glad I recently started juicing only about 8 ounces at a time. Whoever supposes it is a good idea to add fresh aloe leaf juice to the mix when juicing---I would like to know how they manage to drink it without throwing up. SERIOUSLY! |

I did get the cookbook. I've been trying to do some of the recipes in the book, but I wasn't sure how much of everything I should be trying to eat. Is there somewhere in the book where it talks about how much to take? I've been really looking, but can't find where it states dosages of the mixture. I got another book that talked about the Budwig protocol and it said the 2 tblsp a day, and I too thought that was pretty low. I'm reading so much that I'm finding it difficult to read anymore, but I know I have to find out more about what to do. There's just so much going on right now...with my own cancer, and my cat's oral cancer, and now my sister's husband has stomach cancer just diagnosed... I'm really running on empty. Thanks again. I'm still learning all this too, but from what I've read, if you're buying the actual Linomel product, the honey in it acts as sort of a preservative and you keep it in the fridge, but I'm not sure for how long. Maybe someone else can let us know. When you grind your own flax seeds, you should only grind as much as you're going to eat right away. Two of my books say that, so that's what I've been doing, just grinding for each meal. I don't add the honey, I just sprinkle the ground flax on whatever I'm eating, oatmeal or raw mueseli, smoothies or on top of a salad that I made my dressing for with the fo/cc mixture. traveling
Kathryn Gold
Hello,
My husband and I love to take cruises, as well as other types of travel, which we do often. Whenever I go on a cruise I take my Braun hand blender, a large plastic cup (into which the end of the blender will fit), some maple syrup, some pumpkin pie spice. Then, when the room steward comes to meet us and asks us what special requests we have, I tell him/her to make sure that each night there is one cup of low-fat cottage cheese and a banana in our room. The cruise lines pride themselves on being accommodating, and they are. I bring my oil with me and keep it in the refrigerator which is in my cabin. This way I can always have my fso/cc mixture, even while traveling. When I used to drive cross country frequently, I never carried anything to drink (I didnt want to have to stop for potty-breaks in between gas stops), so I always took fresh cabbage, snap peas, and celery with me. It gave me sustenance, as well as water. It was cool and refreshing, and crunching on it made it easier to stay awake. Then I could just use the bathroom whenever I stopped for gas. (I was really into seeing what good time I could make and gas mileage too). Also, be sure to use a pillow in the small of your back (lumbar region) when you are travelling. I used to always visit a chiropractor right after a trip, until a friend told me about supporting my back. If I dont have my small lumbar cushion, I just roll up my jacket or a sweater and stuff it behind me. Makes a BIG difference. K.
