Re: substitutes for cottage cheese

W. Hansen

Hi! I am 36 and in chemo for breast cancer and very scared going forward. I can embrace much of what I have read about Dr. Budwig's protocol except I am scared to eat dairy products.
Hi Vanessa,
dairy is part of the Budwig Protocol. It looks to me that you want to do the Budwig Protocol. In that case please read our files to find out more about it. Pay special attention to the ground flaxseeds (Linomel) that are part of this protocol. They have special significance in breast cancer cases.

I have been good about the flax oil, but I have always been good about getting good oils and having a reasonably good organic vegetable rich diet.
Taking flax oil by itself (without it being mixed with cottage cheese) is not the answer. It can work against you. Dr. Budwig said so.

I was diagnosed while nursing my son and had nodal involvement. As the chemo draws to an end (thank goodness) I am realizing I don't want to do radiation or have a bilateral mastectomy.
I want to beat this and be extremely agressive, I just don't want to be messed with anymore surgeons and machines.
That is perfectly understandable. What I cannot understand is that you were less concerned about taking chemo into your body than you are about eating dairy. The only explanation that I can up with is that you are/were uninformed in both instances.

so anyhow -since i was nursing when diagnosed too, i have really developed a fear of milk and dairy products, which, organic or not are ruined in processing and full of cow hormones.
IMO, the value of the fo/cc mixture far outweighs any negative effects of dairy. It sounds as though you have been listening too much to the no-dairy lobbyists.
If you want to do the Budwig Protocol, get the best cottage cheese or quark you can, or make your own. Get organic dairy if you can, and then stop worrying about it. Worry it is bad for you.

I REALLY REALLY want to be oxygenated. are there substitutes for the cottage cheese?
No, you need to get over your no-dairy fears.

Is the flaxseed oil in he fridge section at Whole Foods adequate?
No, it needs to be mixed with dairy as it says in our files.

Best wishes for better health to you,

Wilhelm
