With Jaws 2018 and Ms Word 2010, I experience the same, but it
works if you search with the function key 6 to get the text
field.

Re: unique issue
开云体育Marsha, I personally haven't encountered this problem but the message
that your student is hearing is normally what you would hear if
you pressed insert-C for read word in context in situations where
this hotkey doesn't apply or function. Like you I'm unable to reproduce this problem. Does this happen even if your student closes and restarts JAWS? Does it occur if Word is also closed and restarted? As a workaround your student could try using the JAWS Find command with quick keys enabled. 1. Press insert-Z to enable quick keys. 2. Press insert-ctrl-F for the JAWS find dialog. Type the text string to find and press enter. One advantage of this method is that the cursor should land right on the text and your student won't need to press the escape key to close the find dialog. Re: What's the latest blind friendly version of the office suite?
The only reason I ever upgrade Microsoft Office these days is if the version I have is going or has gone out of support.? You can check what the end of support date is for any Microsoft produce at?.
The shows that support for Office 2019 and 2016, both, goes through 10/14/2025.? I'm certainly in no rush to dump Office 2016, as it meets all my needs. |
Re: What's the latest blind friendly version of the office suite?
Office 365 (now part of Microsoft 365) is always the latest version, as it regularly receives new features as well as security improvements. Office 2019 is based on an older version of Office 365.

I don't know when the next edition for a perpetual license is scheduled for release but Microsoft seems to release a new edition every three years since 2007. This means that we will likely see a new edition with Office 2022.
