It is quite possible that your colleague uses a different version of Office where this is done differently? Another keystroke that works in Outlook2016 is Alt-H, followed by L. My husband uses Office365 and he says he is able to get to the Sort options by tabbing/shift-tabbing. I gave ,,.her the advice to use the keytips (Alt + V followed by A B then d for Date , F for From, etc...). She reports + that this sometimes does not work and I am not sure why.
