When using the method you describe, the folder that will be deleted is the folder upon which has focus when opening the Context menu.
If this is not the folder you wish to delete, close the Context menu, navigate to the folder you wish to delete, and reopen the Context menu and select Delete.

Thanks. And what is the command for deleting a folder?
From within the list view of an inbox, if I press shift-F6 followed by the
context menu, there are options to create, rename ?as well as delete a
folder. However, I am unable to select the folder to delete from here.
