Re: Antique flute

Not necessarily a sad thing. I doable, it would have at least $2,000. Flutes are expensive!!!

Yes. I did take the time off to practice. I've also been doing some other things, such as live streaming on YouTube, and I even demonstrated both of my flutes. I am sorry to hear that your antique Flute will not be restored. Or cannot be restored. I did write a little bit in some stories that I am working on with a friend, but otherwise, I just took it easy. I did play a little bit of flute on Sunday. I don't have any recordings from Sunday to show you though. Sorry about that.

Sorry to hear about your forced time off. It's good that your employer kept the paycheques coming. Hey, did you use the time to practice? (Wink!)
Me, I'm going to stay away from the flute for a few months because of shoulder surgery to repair the damage from a fall. I can't keep my right arm up to play. It's going to drive me nuts.

Hi Leonard. How are you? It's Amanda. My apologies that I was not able to listen to your new opus. I've been working on some Flute things myself. Star Wars, Star Trek, and some Gordon Lightfoot. I've been playing this instrument since I was in high school. 23 years I've been playing to be exact.

?Hi Mitch. Good to hear from you. I'm also still practicing Flute. It's good that you're practicing law as well. That is so awesome. I'm still also playing the recorder. On May 26, a friend of mine and I did a neat little trio of pieces at the beginning of church service. It went really well. I have never seen a saxophone. Up close. Also, there is a gentleman who was an excellent saxophone player. His name was David fathead Newman. He mostly did jazz saxophone, but sometimes he did the flute. He got the fat head part of his name, because of a music teacher. The music teacher called him a fat head because the music for the bassoon was resting upside down on the music stand, and he was playing from memory. For David Newman to take that epithet and roll with it shows good musicianship.

Thanks for checking in, Amanda. I had a pleasant suprise Wednesday evening while attending a Jazz jam session, in which I played both sax and flute. The regular guitarist and drummer were absent, and their substitutes were the piano player and drummer with whom I recorded two Jazz albums, whom I hadn't seen in a while. I felt inspired. My flute solos were pretty good considering that I didn't have a chance to warm up.

I'm still practicing when I can (almost daily; my law practice keeps me very busy).

Hello there fellow flute players. Amanda checking in. I haven't been able to play flute for two weeks because I was sick with Covid. I mean really sick. Not the point where I was hospitalized, but it looks like a really bad cold. My mom is doing well and recovering from cataract surgery. Things are going well here. How are the rest of you doing? Sorry I haven't been very active.

I know. I gave my friend Cynthia, who plays the violin a little bit of a heart attack though, but everything turned out OK. I don't really play the Fife that much, but I have it just in case I wanna play it some. I mostly concentrate on the flute on the recorder. Anyhow, at work at the moment. Things are going well though. Gabrielle is my angel recorder, and Hazel is my main concert flute. My spare flute, which is a Jupiter, is called Rosita.?
