Re: Mohave to Catalina and Microsoft #Upgrading

Vince,

Thank you for writing.
She did not make a purchase. There was some kind of free trial available.

She is not sure if she tried this through Microsoft directly or the Apps Store
but regardless, the bigger issue is she was unable to download successfully because she was required?
to provide a "Keychain Password." (My recent message to the Group)

Neither of us knows what this is, what is being asked for.

When utilities apps can't find the issue, that can simply be explained by a hardware issue. Have you heard of occam's razor? The simplest answer is often the correct one. Sometimes explaining things in a different way, make the answer click in others minds.

As to your MBP restarting, you didn't mentions that in the long, wandering first post. OK, we forget sometimes, but you lose us in your long, unfocused, wandering, posts. Oh and I wander in my posts, sometimes, but usually when the topic is about opinions, like how Apple serves its customers.

Does that answer your question Jim Showalter?

I did point out that I once had 3 cases that securely hold a laptop Mac well cushioned and now have only one, but the point of that wasn’t to wail about things that happened two years ago but just to say that I don’t think that the genesis of this repetitive rebooting a few days ago could be blamed on my laptop bag(s).

Your other comment (no, not the one about leeches and poisonous therapy in medicine, but rather the one that says maybe I should just be happy the MacBook Pro has stopped rebooting and go back to using it) is more on point, but of course another (generally considered valuable) voice has suggested that perhaps it’s time to say goodbye to this machine because of its sketchy performance.

I’ll try to keep my own contributions less embellished and more on point.

Press the spacebar just slightly longer than usual and you can then

Re: How to type Apple symbol/logo ? #Resolved

Howdy.

I use GyazMail which only very recently was updated to a 64-bit
application for macOS X 10.15 Catalina.

GyazMail has been quite reliable and I like it because of extensive
filters and rules capabilities (sort of like the lost late great Eudora
email app).

But GyazMail has not had a graceful change to 64-bit. Lots of bugs
with download and save contextual menus and a major Bug that sees it
freeze when trying to Quit the app (about 90% of the times I try to
quit the app).

The programmer/owner has already released one update/bug fixer to ver.
10.16.1 which fixed the download/save problems and I'm hoping another
updater/fixer will be released soon.

The programmer/owner is Goichi Hirakawa who is I think Japanese. He's
very responsive to feedback and has an excellent command of English.

The GyazMail web site is: <>

Check it out if you are a GyazMail user, or, just want to get some more
info on the program. There is a feedback area.
