That¡¯s how it feels to me right now, but I haven¡¯t given the ¡®new way¡¯ a chance yet and actually learned it.
I never liked the loupe much either. I also wished Apple just provided us with direction arrows to place the cursor (probably the ONE thing Android does better).

The new way is much harder. If I just want to position the cursor but I¡¯m not editing so I have no keyboard it is a real pain.
