Re: Dead CAT
Finally getting back to looking at this. My one attempt at putting the SC into EasyTrack mode didn't provide any clues.? It's likely I never configured the EasyTrack settings in the SC since when I

Re: ServoCAT Cover
Also, I typically print items using PETG filament, it has a higher glass transition temperature (85C) than PLA (60C).? I've left PLA items in my vehicle and I've found they have warped if I've parked

Re: Imaging, sensor size, secondary size
Gary, So true. When I first was introduced to SST scopes at Chiefland Astronomy Village, their secondary cage was fixed. As more and more SST owners started using MallinCams and focal reducers, Mike

Re: Imaging, sensor size, secondary size
The SST will by design have a larger secondary - Mike does that knowing people will want to image with it. But the comment re the UC is interesting. Unfortunately I can't say that it translates well

Re: Auto lock and synch
Mike, Indeed I had forgotten you do this from inside. So - yes it stays on, or should (I've not tested this as its from the planetarium GOTO function). It will lock on the point where the GOTO ends.

Re: ServoCAT Cover
Sorry Raphael - I missed the message. The units are in mm.? Designed in TinkerCAD.

Re: Imaging, sensor size, secondary size
Gary, My 1982 17.5¡± f/4.58 Coulter mirror set came with a 4.24¡± rectangular secondary with clipped corners. When I built my AstroSystems TeleKit, I bought a 3.5¡± elliptical secondary and it

Re: Auto lock and synch
Thanks Gary, So to clarify- I am doing this remotely from inside my house once my telescope has been setup, aligned and argo put in ¡°From Planetarium¡± mode. So where you say: ¡°So what you can do

Re: Imaging, sensor size, secondary size
Gary, Yes to get a fully illuminated field for my 18¡± f4.3 I upgraded my 3.5¡± secondary to a 4¡±. I used a calculator somewhere online which showed the differences for different size secondaries

As Jack H to do a light cone drawing for you. That will tell you the answer. Mickey

Imaging, sensor size, secondary size
Ok... so making progress, I think, in my mind how camera selections. But something just hit me. The secondary size. Obsession intentionally used smaller secondaries as the intent of the scope was

Re: Auto lock and synch
Hi Mike, So - there is no command to control AutoLOCK. It turns on a closed loop tracking system whereby the ServoCAT and the AN lock around a point (where it is turned on OR where it was 3/4 second

Auto lock and synch
I know I asked a similar question back in 2021 but I am trying to better understand auto lock and use of synch. I have read the instructions in the pdf file for the latest firmware but it isn¡¯t

Gary, Although the sensor in the new DS8300cTEC (IMX585) is not as large as the one in the DS10c/DS10cTEC, it still provides a nice FOV. I created a 12¡± f/5 Newtonian in SkyTools 4 Imaging and

Good morning Jack - and thanks for the info. Re Hickson 50 - Megastar had the 5th member as, if I recall, 19.3 but when I looked it up that was blue wavelength ... so I think the pure visual rating is

Paul, I would be very interested in a "turnkey" pi-finder system that works with servocat that could also do away with setting circles. Can you send the link to the CN forum where he is discussing
