ok. So - remind me (sorry - replied to email and not the thread on the group) ... did you change out the motor encoder cable? Maybe replace that. If its not that then one thing I would see occasionally is that the cable coming out of the motor housing - the encoder cable from the rear - might be too tight as it goes to the protection board. If that is the case if there's extra slack - even a small amount - pull that slack towards that connector to try to relieve some pressure. This can cause the moles style pins to not make contact intermittently.?

Both the AZ and ALT motors work as expected using the HC, at all slew speeds.

My problem is (way maybe) intermitted, it would start slewing in AZ (clockwise) on its own, with nobody touching anything.? The last time I left the scope tracking an object and went inside to give a presentation, came back out an hour later and the scope was pointing in a very different direction and the battery was down.? That's why I wanted to put it in EasyTrack and let it sit and see if it was re-creatable.
