Raphael, The system is designed to do the GOTO until the object offset is less than a certain factor... I think it was like 0.03 degrees or so. So it does one GOTO - checks the offset with the AN -

Rapheal, If you are close on the ratios an AutoCAL will not help with what you're trying to do. It is running closed loop and the ServoCAT is aggressive (high gain) in order to keep up ... BUT the AN

Both the AZ and ALT motors work as expected using the HC, at all slew speeds. My problem is (way maybe) intermitted, it would start slewing in AZ (clockwise) on its own, with nobody touching

And you're sure you were seeing the red DSC light flashing for this whole time? Does the AZ motor work if you use the HC to slew it? I'd just stuck with this as the test. g.
