You say it doesn't work, but you don't say how, and I suspect there is user error somewhere, but can't be certain.? You would need to describe the steps you take from the first page where you fill in the various edit boxes, checkboxes, and single radio button then hit Submit through the point of failure.? You need not give your private information in public, but having the information to know where the process is failing is vital in order to assist.? Personally, I think they make the process ahead of downloading a bit more convoluted than necessary, but that's feedback that anyone who thinks the same needs to give to the folks at Carroll.

Re: alt key inserting while using jaws and outlook classic
The question is:? Is anyone who's experiencing this not using JAWS?
?
I have never heard anyone report this issue prior to this topic, and never on the NVDA group, period.
?
I strongly suspect something involving JAWS and something idiosyncratic to the machines where it's occurring.? If it were a widespread occurrence lots more chatter about it would have appeared before now.
?
Possible contributors to the cause need to be ruled in or out.? If anyone's had this when not using JAWS please do report back.

Re: alt key inserting while using jaws and outlook classic
So far, this issue appears to be occurring only for JAWS users.? If JAWS gives you a method to turn on debug logging, and you're having this issue, I would turn it on, and keep it turned on, until the issue occurs and is captured in the logs.? That means that you'll likely need to delete JAWS logs until/unless the issue recurs, but at least you'd have something that was captured that can be supplied to Freedom Scientific Tech Support when it does happen next.
?
I can't remember at the moment how one turns this on/off for JAWS, but there's got to be a way.

Re: A quick method to determine whether you are in New Outlook versus Outlook Classic
Hi all, To know which version of Outlook I am in, I hit Insert T to read the title of my window. In Classic, it first says which folder I am in, then my email address, and then Outlook. In the New Outlook, it says Mail, then my name and then Outlook. David |

开云体育Hi, Wow, I never thought of this as a Jaws issue.? I thought that Windows was wacky ? I’ll keep your solution in mind the next time this happens and I’m sure that it will happen before long. ? Hi Vicky, What you are describing sounds exactly like what I am experiencing.? I have talked to the people at the Microsoft accessibility line several times, have had my keyboard reinstalled, had my office repaired, outlook repaired as well as other diagnostic tools I can’t remember but am still having the problem.? I also spoke to the people at Vespiro to ask if anyone else using JAWS had a similar problem and up until now, I have been the only one with this problem.? But maybe, the problem has been resolved, since yesterday for the first time, I unloaded JAWS and used Narrator.? With Narrator the problem disappeared so I am convinced it is an issue with JAWS.? Now that I know? that I can reboot if I use Narrator I am feeling much more ?confident that the problem might be resolved.? Hi Monte, I have had not only the Alt key insert itself, when I absolutely had not pressed it, but also the other Modifier keys.? ? I have had this happen in Word as well as in Outlook Classic.? ? The only way I have found to get it back to normal, is to push the Power button and thereby force a shut down.? This is necessary, since just pressing the F4, in hopes that the non-asked for Alt, would cause a proper shut down, does not work in this situation. ? I think I then find that after repressing the power button and it comes back up again, I make it do a proper Reboot and then things go back to normal. ? I have never figured out what causes this or any other way to handle it. ? Someone told me, that this kind of thing is more likely to happen if you are not in the habit of restarting your computer at least once a day and I think this has decreased the likelihood that this will happen. ? Then I'd suggest contacting Microsoft Accessibility for help.? Outlook Classic should work just fine with any account that's accessed via IMAP or MS-Exchange.? You could try deleting, and then re-creating, the account in Outlook Classic as a DIY first step.? It's also possible that there is a corruption in the Outlook Classic profile, which is not common, but nor is it extremely rare.?? -- Brian? · ♂? · ???? · ?Virginia, USA?- Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2, Build 26100; M365 Family; Android 13 (Xiaomi HyperOS 1.0.10.0) It is much easier to be critical than to be correct. ?????? ~ Benjamin Disraeli, 1804-1881 |
