Hi Monte, I have had not only the Alt key insert itself, when I absolutely had not pressed it, but also the other Modifier keys.? ? I have had this happen in Word as well as in Outlook Classic.? ? The only way I have found to get it back to normal, is to push the Power button and thereby force a shut down.? This is necessary, since just pressing the F4, in hopes that the non-asked for Alt, would cause a proper shut down, does not work in this situation. ? I think I then find that after repressing the power button and it comes back up again, I make it do a proper Reboot and then things go back to normal. ? I have never figured out what causes this or any other way to handle it. ? Someone told me, that this kind of thing is more likely to happen if you are not in the habit of restarting your computer at least once a day and I think this has decreased the likelihood that this will happen. ? Hope this helps. ? Vicky V ? ? Sent from From: [email protected] <[email protected]>
