¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Vicky, Thanks, I have been using control enter for the second day now and it hasn¡¯t happened yet where as when I used alt s, it was happening two or thre times a day, I will keep my fingers crossed that it will keep working, thanks for your input, Judy ? Hi Judy, I have had this problem show up using the Control+Enter to send messages.? Sometime within the last month or two, I have had to change to the Alt+S to send messages and this extra key appearing that was not pressed has occurred in both situations for me. ? Very strange and puzzling! ? Vicky V ? Sent from From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Judy Prociuk via groups.io ? I Think the problem is caused by using the command ¡°alt s¡± to send a message in Outlook classic. I am now using the command: ¡° control enter¡± to send a message in Outlook Classic.? I have only used the control enter command to send messages and have not had the problem at all today and before this it was occurring two or three times a day.? I hope the problem has been solved, Judy ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Vicky Vaughan via groups.io ? Hi Chaltain, That¡¯s a good and reasonable idea, but yes, I did check that and for me, that wasn¡¯t what was causing my problem. ? I haven¡¯t ever figured out what causes this, perhaps either having too many windows open or having not rebooted often enough, seem to be possible triggers. ? The only thing I do know, is that by forcing a shut down and then restarting my computer, this strangeness goes away. ? Vicky V ? Have you made sure sticky and filter keys are turned off in setings? ? -- Christopher (AKA CJ) =>¡Â Chaltain at Outlook, USA ? Hi Monte, I have had not only the Alt key insert itself, when I absolutely had not pressed it, but also the other Modifier keys.? ? I have had this happen in Word as well as in Outlook Classic.? ? The only way I have found to get it back to normal, is to push the Power button and thereby force a shut down.? This is necessary, since just pressing the F4, in hopes that the non-asked for Alt, would cause a proper shut down, does not work in this situation. ? I think I then find that after repressing the power button and it comes back up again, I make it do a proper Reboot and then things go back to normal. ? I have never figured out what causes this or any other way to handle it. ? Someone told me, that this kind of thing is more likely to happen if you are not in the habit of restarting your computer at least once a day and I think this has decreased the likelihood that this will happen. ? Hope this helps. ? Vicky V ? ? Sent from From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Monte Single via groups.io ? Hi List, ? My ?friend has a new win11 pc with jaws. ?
