I¡¯ve looked through HELP. I¡¯ve viewed (and attempted) the ¡°Using subgroups¡±, ¡°overview¡±, ¡°creating a subgroup¡±, and ¡°Using subgroup categories¡± sections. I had a specific function ¨C a ¡®50th Anniversary on the job¡¯ party/discussion for one group member. With your help, I figured out how to create a subgroup and exclude that single member of the group from that subgroup, then open the entire topic up to the rest of the group ¨C allowing those who didn¡¯t want to be involved to ¡®opt out¡¯ of that subgroup. THAT worked amazingly well. I can easily see using this procedure to set up ¡®working groups¡¯ for projects, etc. But don¡¯t want to end up with 2, 10, 50 or more subgroups that no longer have any function or use. Now the event is past. And there¡¯s no reason to keep/archive/continue the subgroup or its contents ¨C messages, etc. I just want to Delete the entire subgroup, all of its contents, messages and such. But I don¡¯t see a way to dump it all. BTW, I don¡¯t really understand/comprehend the ¡°subgroup category¡± unit or purpose. Hello GMF I'm pretty sure that I joined a new group on GroupsIO as I have the confirmation email (see extract below) But when I click on the link, I end up on their home page and at the bottom, there is the +Join This Group blue button. Also, this group has not been added to the My Groups list, so I can't find a way into it to read posts or start a new topic myself. Is this me missing something simple or a bug? Thanks

Can you please tell me what this header means? Is the message delayed 16 hours BEFORE it gets to groups.io.... or is it held up for 16 hours at groups.io before it is delivered to my In Box? Thanks Win

How do I help this member - she can NOT post to the group. She can get messages from the group. She can¡¯t Something strange has happened, and it¡¯s not going away. I am blocked from posting in the group. Not sure what to do about it. Subscribe using a different email address? Here is a message I get. Magda I¡¯ll try, but I couldn¡¯t log into the group either. It has blocked me consistently for a few days with different excuses. I¡¯m wondering if it¡¯s censoring me re Middle East conflict. Magda I receive the massages from the group with no problem. Calendar Invite start and end times display earlier then the times I enter

I am trying to post our groups first calendar entry and its an event that starts at 2pm but displays on the calendar pages as "11a". Feels like the time zone settings but I cannot find anything I reset to fix the issue. Help appreciated.

Is there a menu option called "All Topics"? One Member claims his menu has it in place of New Topic.

Topic says it all. This member says he is not able to introduce a New Topic, even though he has posting privileges.

Is there a mechanism to stop ordinary members from replying to a special notice with the [special notice] prefixed still attached, or adding it themselves? If not, I may suggest it in the <beta> group groetjes/?is, Ronaldo

Members of Subgroup have to be members of primary (parent ) group

I thought the above statement was the case and a rule. I have at least one member of my subgroup who is not a member of the primary (parent) group. My moderator approved his membership to the subgroup in May. He has already posted a thread. How can this be the case ? barry

A website that uses the domain name of our group

Hi - One of the many groups that I'm an owner of wants to put up a website. Is there a way that we can use the domain name of our group (<groupname>.groups.io) for our URLs? (We're not looking to Groups.io to host the pages, since I believe that to be beyond the scope of the services provided, just have the domain be consistent with our group's.)

Google Calendar Sync NEVER shows Groups.io Calendar Changes

I know there's been discussion in her about delays in Google synching its calendar, but this goes beyond a day or week. It's been a month since our group (FictionRiders) changed our meeting dates (for one month only), and Google Calendar (synched) still shows the original dates. I suspect I know the answer but, some of our group are desirous to know it! The members add their information into a database which includes, amongst other elements, their firstnames and surnames and are able to view the entire database but only the row owner and moderators can edit it. The question is: Is it possible to prevent group members from viewing the firstnames and surnames of the membership but still view the remainder of the data?

Tags in calendar

Is it possible to add tags to calendar events, so different topics can be grouped and people can search for these specific tags? I can see there are colours but they are quite random, it's not like you see what a colour 'means'. Winnie

Problem marking posts as read

Somewhat new group owner here: I use the Groups.io app on the iPhone and macOS. My iPhone shows an unread post in a thread, while my Mac shows all in that thread as read. 1) Don't they sync? 2) How do I know which post is unread 3) How do I mark it as read. Thanks
