I think it's a bug, users shouldn't worry about manually removing the photos from a message they reply to, it should not be posted again.
In any case, this is not was is happening in our group, what I found is that every person who navigates the photos on the groups.io site, becomes the user "by" which is populated, this is also a bug.

Where do we get actual support from groups.io? do they respond here? or do I need to open a support ticket somewhere?

It's not very intuitive, but it has to be done from the overview page while you're signed in, / . More info at /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Help-Mock-up#Managing-muted-and-followed-topics.? It would be a good suggestion for beta to have the buttons on each group as well.

Well, the feedback I got from support was that they were unable to do this at the moment due to time constraints.

No surprise, I guess, given the workload right now.

I'm not exactly sure if that means they _might_ be able to do it later, once things have calmed down.

That's not so simple for a large, old group. The chunky group which I help run has been going for almost 20 years, so the Y! home page for it has 240 numbers to copy and paste and add together; and the oldest months of the archives have a lot of missing messages, so even that would not give an accurate result.

Transferred that group this month, though, and it would (just) have scraped under Mark's generous limit. For reference, the Y! latest message number was about 113?000, and about 80?000 messages were transferred safely.

Well MOBI, I'm no longer confident in my answer.?

I created a poll in Shalstest and clicked on it while logged in with another account. I didn't get the error you showed...I got a message saying "You are not subscribed to this group with this email address."

If not logged in at all, I get taken to the login page...no error message. Hmmm...

Being unable to replicate the problem, I'm afraid you're going to have to provide more information. A new screenshot showing the error and that?includes the actual URL?in the address bar would be helpful. You could also forward a copy of the email that the user(s) who are having this problem have received. Either or both.

What is your group name? Is it possible that this poll was created in a subgroup and both the main group and subgroup names are really long? You DID say that not everyone was having this difficulty, didn't you? Does everyone having a problem have the same message delivery option set?

Trying to help here, but not having much success.

Well, I take that back. If your group name happened to be ridiculously long, the mail client of those receiving text-only emails could be mangling the URL with word-wrap. But let's follow up on the more likely scenarios before going down that road.

It's entirely possible for one individual to have two different email addresses registered with the site. These two email address represent different accounts. If such a person follows a poll link that was emailed to address #1 and is already logged in under address #2, the behavior that you describe will happen.

Also, is your group message archive is public, it's possible that someone who isn't even a subscriber could read the poll question online and find themselves unable to answer it.

That's why I'm asking you to have whoever is experiencing this issue to pull down the "Your Groups" menu to find out if your group is actually listed there. Another option is to simply go to ?and look at the group list.

Is there some permissions I should be checking somewhere?

There is a single menu item in Admin->Settings determining who can set up polls. But unless polls have been disabled altogether, this would not explain the problem you've described. While we're at it, check to be sure another owner hasn't already closed the poll by accident. I would expect that to generate a different error, but at this point I'm not prepared to make any assumptions.

In the screenshot provided earlier, I put a blue line through their name as to not share information they haven't given me permission to share.
But, I can assure that is his email address.

I'm sorry if you took my question as questioning the validity of the change. From the responses to my question, I was able to determine that the group I have in the transfer process is way under 100K and so I stopped worrying about it.

Why are you still a member of the group. I have left groups for less or a reason but if an?owner was rude?and said vile things to me I would be gone in a heartbeat. I am sure there are other groups that?are similar to that one that you can join. Ilene ? ? ? ?
