Hi
I would like to share the outcome of my last checkup. I had an adenocarcinoma in my left lung, which was removed by surgery in January. Also the lymph nodes (three of them) at the bronchy were "cleaned" (this is the explanation of my surgeon. However, there were two spots 7mm and 9mm big at my right lung - suspected metastases. On 5 February I started with FO/CC (mainly yogurth - it is hard to find CC over here). On 1 March up to 1 April I was on Breuss therapy (no FO/CC), and after that I continued with JB protocol. I have to admit that I am not taking ground flax seeds due to the problem with my stomach - I have severe pain if I take it, but the rest of the protocol I do as much as possible. Ten days ago I started taking B17 tablets too. The CT scan I made(I had to do it - here is not possible to get more accurate screaning than CT) and X-ray (mandatory for everybody who visits his doctor) had not shown any spots at the right side), but my lymph nodes (there are five at each side) are swollen. Those which are very close to aorta. However, the doctor now insists on chemotherapy plus radiation (never mentioned before). I refused. Half of me is very happy because there is nothing left at the right side, but the other half is not. What would you do? Should I increase the FO/CC? At this moment I take FO 100ml per day. Any advice appreciated Thanks Suzana |

Nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd. When I am looking for a Yahoo
group on a specific subject, I look for one with a lot of members and a lot of recent activity. I expect others do, too. Since this group has both of those, as well as a dedicated, consciencious moderator and also members who could continue take over and keep running well in his absence, I believe the FlaxOil2 board will be here for a long time to come. Congratulations and many thanks, Wilhelm and Cliff, or Cliff and Wilhelm, as the case may be! |

Hi, Andy, and welcome!
To get acquainted with what to do, how and when, please click where it says "Files" on the left side of the screen in the light blue box. There you will find straightforward, detailed information meticulously put there by Wilhelm, our moderator, and others, regarding what, when and how. Also, I strongly suggest you purchase Dr. Budwig's book, "The Oil Protein Cookbook." You can purchase it for less than 10 dollars, including shipping and handling, by going to either www.half.com or to www.barleans.com. That cookbook will help greatly in explaining further about the mechanics of the diet, and also has over 500 recipes to allow a person to get as much flax oil, ground flax seed and other healing food items into the diet as possible. Some things you might do immediately for your dad are to expose him to daily fresh air and sunlight, the latter being an especially significant part of Dr. Budwig's protocol. It also may help to make the room he is sleeping in as dark as possible at night, since I have read that the immune system does its best job of rebuilding and healing when the pupils of the eye are allowed to shut down completely during sleep. If he needs to get up to go to the bathroom at night, you can keep a small flashlight on his nightstand. Best wishes for healing, Elliot |
Secondary liver cancer
andycoghill05
Hi,
My uncle has been given a vey poor prognosis of a couple of months. He has secondary (metastatic) liver cancer which originated from the bowel/colon region. He was diagnosed 4 years ago with bowel cancer and was treated but on subsequent checkups it was discovered to be in his liver. He has had chemotherapy but now he doesn't want anymore because it is too severe. He is 62 years old and a diabetic. He is jaundiced now and very weak but in good spirits. I stumbled upon this group today and think it is very good. However I would like to try the advice here but I don't know where to start ie what he should take, how much and when? Any help would be greatly appreciated Andy Coghill |

I think your reasoning is excellent. Reduce the tumor burden and continue with the Budwig protocol. There are others on this list that chose not to have surgery and are seeing their tumors shrink. But you must do what your "gut" tells you is the right thing for you. All the best to you as you launch your healing program. BarbF |

If your tumor grew 1/2 cm in 30 days, that is VERY aggressive forHi Esther, Thank you for your quick reply. As far as I can tell my path report says Her2/neu2+/pending FISH analysis/Interpretation- Equivocal. The FISH report says no amplification of this gene. I don't really understand this, can you help? Regarding mixing the two therapies, they seem to be very compatible, Gerson focusing on juicing every hour, along with some suppliments, like potassium, coffee enemas for detox (sounds wierd I know). He includes FO and CC in his protocol (although not blended I think, I will blend mine). It is mainly really healthy living/diet plus the suppliments that bring your body chemistry in balance. I like the idea of being under the care of a wholistic practicioner and having blood work done every month. I didn't see anything in either program that looked in conflict. He was a great admirer of Dr. Budwig and I think that is why he included her work in his protocol. It seemed a good well rounded approach, but I am shooting in the dark. I was so stunned to find out I had breast cancer...went in for a routine mamo, no symptoms had a pap smear 2 weeks previous and the nurse practicioner examined me and felt nothing, no history in my family, don't wear a bra, I exercise, I'm in every low risk catagory except I've never been pregnant. I really expected to find out I had lymphoma, because something wierd is happening in my family. Was considering the new Budwig clinic in Florida, but am overwhelmed with choices to make. Thanks for your time and imput. Kind regards, Janet |

I intended, and hopefully caused no offense:)Hi Vanessa, no offence taken... I saw your messages coming in this morning, but I was too busy to post until now. Please be assured that I had no intention of belittling you. I am glad that our misunderstanding has been resolved and that there is no need to get into it anymore. You will have noticed what a great group we have here. Please feel welcome. I hope that you will find healing through your membership here. Many thanks to Ulla, Elliot and Cheryl for their kind support. It was very much appreciated. Wilhelm From: BocaTrader@... YOu're right. that is clearly very nice. I joined this group yesterday and know nothing of it other than it was promoted on the Budwig site. I, perhaps, jumped in a little too quickly. With young children, im afraid, time is not on my side in these matters. I intended, and hopefully caused no offense:) thanks for your insight. powder vegetable drink mix?
Pamela
Hi,
my brother's bleeding has decreased a lot - now he is only spitting up some blood with mucous. The nurse came by, and she's hoping he just broke a blood vessel when he was coughing. His best friend's mother is a nurse who drops by often - and she doesn't think it's that serious. His pediatric oncologist has a history of freaking us out - giving us the worst news possible. Either he expects the worse, or he's trying to decrease the shock in the future. My mom is trying to get my brother to drink this vegetable drink mix - it comes in powder form (green) and you have to mix it with liquid. He has no problems drinking fresh vegetable juice that i make for him with a juicer (and organic veggies) and has no problems eating the cottage cheese/flax (i remember someone asking me about that today in response to my message) I was just wondering what everyone else's opinions on this was. Would it be okay to add this into his diet? We do not plan on subsitituing fresh organi vegetables for this product. Here are the ingredients: Brown Rice Glutinous Millet Sorghum Millet Job's Tears Glutionous Brown Rice Barley Red Bean Black Sesame Soybean Small Black Soybean Potato Kale Angelica Utilis Cabbage Radish Radish Leaves Barley Leaves Broccolli Leek Carrot Burdock Codonopsis Lanceolata Pumpkin Citron Tomato Shitake Mushroom Reishi Mushroom Laver Brown Seaweed Tangle Sea Lettuce Sincerely, Pamela |

I'm a newcomer...breast cancer
jjohnsonpesenti
Hi Everybody,
I'm a newcomer and have been reading your emails with great interest for about a week. Thank you all for being so committed. It has helped me greatly reading your conversations back and forth. I was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month ago, 1 1/2 centimeters and they were willing to cut it out, with lymph nodes, hysterectomy, radiation, chemo, and drugs for life. Anything I wanted. I said I wanted 1 month to do Dr. Richard Schultze's 30 day Intensive Cleaning and Detox program. They thought I was nuts. I did a 30 day juice fast with liver/gall bladder, kidney/bladder, and colon cleansing. This program included enemas, hot/cold shower treatments and artificially induced fevers. I never worked so hard for a month in my life. I was sure my 30 day mamogram would show great improvement, but Tuesday was a really hard day when I was told it had grown 1/2 centimeter. I discovered Dr. Budwig's program part way through this time and am using it now. The surgeon called today and wants to cut it out, the radiologist said it looks very aggressive from the mamo and the increase in such a short time. I am premenopausal and the tumor is only very weakly responsive to estrogen. I have agreed to have it taken out, but NO lymph nodes, NO radiation, NO chemo and NO drugs. I guess I am conflicted because I don't have time to see if Dr. Budwig's protocol will work for me. My reasoning behind having the surgery would be to take the load off my body to help it heal. Any thoughts on this thinking?? Also half of my family has been diagnosed with lymphoma in the last 4 years and I am wondering if my body is fighting something else too. I am currently taking about 6 TBS of FO everyday...it's only been about 4 days. Also after surgery I am going straight to a Gerson clinic where they have agreed I can continue with the CC/FO. The time pressure is really tough. If I wait too long...you know the rest. Also, just for general info, I called Barleans yesterday, told them I was a cancer patient (they were really really nice) and their special rates are $16.25 for 32oz bottles. A $75 order will get you free shipping, under $75 it is $5 shipping. Sorry this was so long...ANY imput will be greatfully received. Kind Regards, Janet |
Re: Cottage Cheese----Organic or not---Frozen ok?

Elliot,
Over here, I cannot get any organic cottage cheese. Then I do it with the regular one, but a very good one though, because I believe it is better to do it, then not. I wish soon to find some around my area. We have organic milk and many organic products, but no cottage cheese organic so far. It is harder to make may be or the demand is not yet around for the moment. Diane ----Original Message Follows---- From: "breathedeepnow" <aug20@...> Reply-To: FlaxSeedOil2@... To: FlaxSeedOil2@... Subject: [FlaxSeedOil2] Cottage Cheese----Organic or not---Frozen ok? Date: Thu, 28 Apr 2005 14:12:52 -0000 I know that Dr. Budwig did not approve of frozen foods, and I know that organic is better than fresh, BUT my local Kroger grocery store is having a 10 for 10 dollars sale on non-organic cottage cheese, and it is very tempting to buy 20 or more containers of it and to freeze them, given the considerable savings. I am supposing that freezing the cottage cheese would not affect the way it works in synergy with the flax oil, and I know Barleans has said it is ok to keep flax oil in the freezer. I am concerned about hormones and antibiotics in the non-organic cottage cheese, and may call the company about that. But I believe the cottage cheese may be made from milk from many different dairies, so that it may be hard for Kroger to say just what sorts of things go into the milk, or into the cows the milk comes from. Comments, please? Thank you. Elliot |

I mostly lurk on this list.....but read the following and had to reply. My hubby and I are using the flaxseed oil in our eyes upon retiring. It does make your vision blurry......so don't use it and then try to read or drive..... ha ha. I have noticed that when I use it at night, the next day, I don't seem to have issues with "dry" eyes during the day. In Colorado, this is a major problem. Of course, today, we have snow/rain and back to winter, so its not too dry......at the moment. ha ha. (We use one drop in each eye...with an eyedropper.) But am hoping that it will help with 'senior' vision issues. My Mom and Dad both have had cataracts and my eyes aren't the greatest, so hoping for some help. connie, gene and the Aussie Crew ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Connie Hull ~ Colorado ~ Pinecrest Aussies - www.geocities.com/aussieart80634 Date: Fri, 22 Apr 2005 10:55:40 -0000 |
