Re: Fear of doing the Budwig Diet only.

Jennifer Reese

I certainly know that fear about not doing chemo and, because of that, I succumbed to it two different times. The first time, I passed out (for the first time in my long life) and was put in the hospital - I felt as though I would die and did not try it again. Then a year later and two months ago, tried another, this time an oral. It left me with two stage 4 bedsores, one so deep it went to the muscle. Since they came on in less than 24 hours, there is no possibility it was something else. That poison was trying to get out of my body!
In no way, do I think my decision to never touch it again is right for everyone. But I feel great relief now I don't even consider the possibility anymore.
The best to you,
Jennifer

Re: Champagne question

Tina

Cindy,

I rarely drink any wine or champagne. I will have some at night
sometimes. It is my understanding that the wine and champagne are not
necessary. Juice can be substituted for the champagne (I think the
champagne is better for those who are really sick.) The wine at night is
optional.

Re: Champagne question

Hi Cindy,

Champagne and red wine are both optional and were included mainly
for the very weak or for those in pain. They can be helpful but
are not necessary. However, I'm concerned about anyone using
kombucha. Isn't that made with sugar?

I tried organic red wine, it triggered my pain instead

champagne. Any comments? Are there others that are
not using the alcohol and complying in all the other
areas with success? Cindy

Re: Quark/cottage cheese from milk - kosher

Jan Buskell

I wonder if this simple recipe would do? Perhaps you could substitute kosher salt for the usual salt that's called for in this recipe. I'll be looking for other recipes from the list, as well!

Warm wishes,

Homemade Cottage Cheese

1 gallon 2% milk
1/2 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon salt

Heat the milk to 190¡ãF.
You will need a thermometer for other cheeses but you can get by here turning off the heat just before the milk begins to boil.
Add the vinegar and allow the mixture to cool.
When cool, pour the mixture, which now consists of curds and whey into a colander and drain off the whey.
Pour the curds into a bowl and sprinkle on the salt and mix well.
You may wish to use less salt or more, depending on your taste.

Re: Solution: How can I have a life AND do this protocol!?!?!?

Cindy

I am so very impressed how members of this group have
found practical ways of sticking to the protocol and
traveling and working. After I started BP we went to
a family reunion camping for over a week in June. I
had full intentions of sticking to the plan but it got
harder and harder. I finally told myself that when I
get settled again I would go back on BP and I did.
Being around people that had no interest in organics
and a lot of comfort food being served was extremely
difficult for me. I stuck to no meat or sugar and had
FOCC in the morning but that was all I could manage.
I did have my suitcase of tools along with me. That
is rather comical. I was also fighting my illness and
was fatigued. I am so proud of those that can follow
the plan and travel and work. Keep up the great work!

Re: Crohn's disease

Thanks guys,
I got a boatload of info in just a few hours. I have four books on order from amazon, I will read them first , then let my friend read them. Hopefully he will jump on board, to cure his son of such a dreadful disease. I have a sixteen year old daughter, I cant imagine their pain.
May God bless,
Mike

I agree with the post about metals - metals play a huge role in auto-immune
illnesses along with bacteria. There is a synergestic relationship b/t the
two. Once the bacteria is gone and the body is properly detoxed for
biotoxins and metals - the immune system should calm down. I am working on
that for myself as well - not Chrons but anoter auto-immuen illness and I am
getting better but it is slow.....proper amalgam removal by a biologcal
dentist is key.

Check out www.marshallprotocol.com the work of Dr. Lida Mattman on CWD forms
and auto-immune illnesses
www.theroadback.org (mostly for rheumatic illnesses but you'll see the
trend) Also check for Lyme disease via www.igenex.com and PCR testing.
Igenex is teh best we have as detecting Lyme and co-infections......
There are over 200 starins of Lyme we have a test for 1 strain and it is
grossly inaccurate. If were your friend I would starting looking at this as
an illness with an infectious etiology and lay off teh steroids - it will
make it worse!
Unless she has dairy issues that can be common in chrohns I would think
Budwig would be a soothing healing diet.....

--- Hi Mike, if your friend cannot afford to buy the book by Jordan
Rubin I have the book and I would be willing to send it to your friend.
The book is titled The Maker's Diet.
Jorden Rubin came down with crohn's disease when he was about 18 and
after trying so many treatments found the treatment in his book and was
cured of the disease and is living today a very healthy life.

I have a good friend who's son has crohn's disease. Its quite bad,
they keep operating on him to remove a portion of his colon. He's only
16. Has anyone tried this diet on crohn's or heard of some program?
From what I read in other natural health books,a vegan style diet was
recommended. Thanks, Mike

Re: Melissa-re:scans finding cancer

What was the size of the tumor that the PET scan missed? I thought
they were the most reliable for spotting cancer anywhere other than
the brain.

Jan, the one inside my colon wall was several centimeters, but the
tiny ones were about 3-4 millimeters. Yes, it is a realiable method,
but for lobular, and abdominal at that, maybe not so much.

Quark/cottage cheese from milk - kosher

Hello everyone.
Is it possible to make a suitable mixture (either quark or cottage
cheese)from ordinary milk? Does one need to make buttermilk/yogurt
first or can the mixture be made straight from low fat milk. Because
of Jewish Dietary laws, it is not possible to find suitable ORGANIC
cottage cheese, so it needs to be made from scratch. If anyone in this
group knows anything about this, please respond.
Permanent Health and blessings to everyone here.
Bella

Re: Crohn's disease

Mike

That is SO sad to hear about your friend. Im sure the Budwig can help, as others will respond with relevant BP info.

My only contribution would be for you and your friend to consider any possible mercury poisoning as a major contributor, especially if he has "silver" fillings (52% mercury) in his mouth. A book I'd recommend reading is:

A summary of what's in this book is:

SUMMARY: This book presents patient-reported case histories, where they associate their health problems to dental amalgam mercury. Case histories include: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Seizures, Memory Loss, Migraines, Multiple Allergies, Multiple Sclerosis, Depression, Lupus, Maldigestion, Chemical Sensitivities, Insomnia, Miscarriages, Paralysis, Sinus Problems, Emotional & Mental Disorders, Infertility, Endometriosis, Crohn's Disease, Rashes, Anxiety, Tremors & Spasms, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Universal Reactor and many others....

Another website or two to check out is:

www.amalgam.org

I hope and pray he at least considers this possibility and checks it out for himself, before they remove all of his colon.

My motto: When traditional medicine tells you "there's no cure", as in my situation with non-hodgkins lymphoma, it's time to start looking where they (pharmaceutical-controlled FDA and AMA) dont look, such as the impact of "bad fats", which the BP addresses, and heavy metals, such as the ones they put in your mouth.

regards, steve

p.s. I've heard one definition of insanity as being "repeating the same thing and expecting different results". This kind of sounds like what the surgeons are/want to continue doing to your friend.

Re: Tumor Growth + Fatigue, then healing??

jbchoice

I don't have the JB experience to know - but I am a breast cancer patient with mets, and I started swelling first at the last ones, and now I am not swollen there, but at another site that was there longer. I find that I have great energy followed by a day or so of more tired...then it starts over again..and I know first hand how scary this is - I chose not to follow myself with scans etc anymore after the first relapse and I choose to do only the JB.....so I am sending prayers your way.

Bronwynn wrote:
How long can I expect the swelling to last? If actual breast cancer people could respond also it would help.

Does it seem logical to assume that this swelling is the presumed "good
swelling" since there is no pain accompanying it?

How many of you found it true that your healing of tumors occured with most recent tumor formations first and oldest ones last?
