wrote: what else does Dr. Lorraine Day recommend?Dr. Day's videos have many more details than I can write here. The one that describes her 10 step program in full is "You can't improve on God." In my opinion, its worth it just to have the data. Another interesting thing is at the time of making the video (2000 or 2002) she was 60 years old. In the video she only looks mid-to-late 40's to me. Seems like something's working! Here's the 10 steps in a nutshell with a few notes of mine. 1- Nutrition - Fruits & Vegetables only, no meat or dairy. (Dairy is the only conflict with Dr. Budwig's diet, but since organic cottage cheese is a neccessary part of the the FO/CC diet it has to be included and I dont see a big problem with it.) A person can get plenty of calcium from green leafy vegetables. We consume too much protein, about 30 Grams a day is all thats needed. Eat whole grain breads only, not enriched. Make sure the colon is working properly, as most cancers start in the colon. Drink Carrot juice daily, about 8 glasses. This is important to build up the immune system. Carrot juice also cleans out toxins. Can add green vegetable juices with it to get more nutrition. Almonds are THE best nuts to eat. Barley Green also helps build the immune system. 2- Exercise- By age 25 a person has 40% decreased blood flow. By age 35, 60% decreased. Exercise is needed to get the body in motion. You'll look & feel better and the body will respond better to all things. Exercise at least 3 days a week, preferably 5. Walking is fine or other cardiovascular. 3- Drink Pure Water- The body is 75% water, brain is 80% water. Dont drink distilled water (my own research), reverse osmosis is best. Other filtration methods in addition to RO is fine. If drinking alot of water, add 1/4 tsp of high quality salt. Sun-dried salt is best. 4- Sunlight- Sunlight helps the body heal and activates white blood cells in the body that fight bacteria. 30 minutes per day recommended. It has many, many health benefits. Skin cancer is relatively new, occuring mostly in the last 50 years. She feels this is because of our change in diets to processed foods & chemicals. With the right nutrition sunlight is a powerful health benefit. 5- Temperance- Abstinence from all drugs, sugar, caffeine, alcohol. 6- Lots of fresh air daily- Pure Oxygen is needed for healthy red blood cells. Get outside and get fresh air. 7- Proper rest- Get sleep at the proper time and in dark surroundings. A quiet environment is best. 8- Trust in God or your Supreme Being that he will heal you. She says this is a very important part of the program. Basically God wants each of us to be healed. There are many biblical references to support this. 9- Attitude of Gratitude- Be thankful for the things you do have. 10- Benevolence- Think of others and help others whenever possible. Get "outside yourself" and your own problems. Keith |

Thanks for the reply about what might be allowed to eat but I missed
two foods off and again would appreciate some comment While I do eat a lot of raw foods my most of the time it consistes of raw salad I do add peices of satsuma oranges and a kiwi fruit I guess they should be ok ??????????? also two or three avocados mainly because they give some calorie. I did eat a small amount of organic chicken twice in the first month (breast) but now I try a just eat the raw salad avaocados. I suppose what i'm asking is could that twice have effected the Budwig working for me, I know that J Budwig does allow a little chicken in her book. My question is that with the salad in the evening I also eat 2 or 3 new organic potatoes ( will that be OK ) and bread which my wife bakes. (no butter) to make the bread she uses about 1 lb Organic flour (stoneground) fresh yeast (given free from the local supermarket) The bread rises well and stays fresh for about 2/3 days. This is my 7th week and I have had for lunch a mixed salad with the bread as a sandwhich with either a hard boiled egg on this or a small quantity of organic rocquefort cheese its quiet strong flavored so you only need a little. I write this because I know that eating can be very difficult both from calories (getting enough) or variety. BUT I AM AWARE THAT I AM NOT WANTING TO SPOIL THE BUDWIG - IF ANY ONES EXPERIENCE SAYS THAT WHAT I AM EATING IS NOT GOOD THEN PLEASE LET ME KNOW - OTHERWISE IT MAY PROVIDE EATING FOR OTHERS Regards and thanks to you all -and may you all succeed in your quest for health Anyone want the recipe/method for the bread just let me know Ray |

Hi Ray,
Your case is so very similar to my dad's Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Except, he didn't have his tumor in his lymph node removed in his groin. His tumor was very painful and was almost 6 cm in size. He followed the Budwig protocol and his tumor size came down within the first 6 weeks and totally disappeared by the 12th week. He has been cancer free for 13 months now and is feeling very well. We had a family dinner today and I noticed that he is still not touching meat - just like my sister who is following the Budwig protocol for her breast cancer. They both only eat tiny protions of fish to satisfy their meat tastes. She has been in remission for 15 months now. They both had a wonderful meal today - Wild brown rice, mixed veggies (steamed)and salads topped with fo/cc mayonnaise. Dessert? You guessed it.........fo/cc fridge cheescake sweetened with stevia, topped with strawberries.:-) Your other questions: Butter - rather wait with butter until you are confirmed to be in remission, but it is 100% better than margarine Olive oil is fine - make sure it is cold pressed Meat - same as butter Strawberry jam?????? I don't know Ray, be very strict with yourself for at least 3 months. When I say, very strict, I mean, very strict. Eat only the foods as prescribed by Dr Budwig, and make 70% of your foods raw - the 30% cooked foods will not include meat but only veggies and brown rice (steamed if possible). 3 Months compared to the rest of your life is nothing - JUST DO IT!! Hope this helps and lots of strongs Cheryl --- In FlaxSeedOil2@..., "nejray" <ipuk@o...> wrote: After having a small lymph node remomed from the groin and biopsiedI have recently been diagnosed with small lympohocytic lymphoma aform I beleive of non hogkins (low grade) / chronic lymphocyticleukemia - the explanation given was that these two were like twins - but incured this particular problem. pectin and sweetened with concentrated grape juice. |

After having a small lymph node remomed from the groin and biopsied I
have recently been diagnosed with small lympohocytic lymphoma a form I beleive of non hogkins (low grade) / chronic lymphocytic leukemia - the explanation given was that these two were like twins - but in other words what was detected in the lymph node groin was also detected in the bone marrow. I have started the Budwig FO/CC can anyone tell me if that has cured this particular problem. also After first month: Can any of the following foods be eaten if they are organic. Butter Olive Oil Cold pressed and organic Meat - If organic - should not contain nasties Also I found some strawberry jam - that contains only strawberries - pectin and sweetened with concentrated grape juice. I know you can have grape juice , but would it be permitted like this. Thanks and good health I hope to all. Ray |

Ulla, thanks for the tip. I like the idea of throwing them in Hi Barb, as long as you run the whole batch under cold water for a moment and then peel them immediately, they keep fine and un-soggy in my experience (perhaps because I shake the strainer occasionally to make sure they dry evenly from all sides). Does anybody know if almonds lose their benefits if they are toasted or roasted? The article at www.healingcancernaturally.com/spirituality.html#almondscayce which I mentioned also discusses the question "Are Raw Almonds Better Than Roasted Almonds?" and concludes "It seems reasonable, therefore, until more is known about the effects of specific components of almonds, to consume raw almonds in preference to roasted almonds. The time it takes for a tumor to get smaller or before you notice a change is really not a question that is easy to answer. With my own dad - he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma and his tumor's size came down within six (6) weeks and totally disappeared by the 12th week on the Budwig protocol. Some people start noticing a change from the 3rd week while others take months before there is a change in the size of the tumor. One thing I would like to say about all this is that the Budwig protocol will most certainly stop the tumor from getting bigger and spreading to the other organs. We have a lady in our group with breast cancer who refused chemo and radiation - she is doing only the Budwig protocol. She had two lumps in her breast and she has been following the protocol since January this year. She can still feel the lumps, although a lot smaller, but she is feeling on top of the world and she never stopped working and hasn't felt ill ever since she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Another friend of hers was diagnosed with breast cancer, in December last year, she went for surgery, chemo and radiation treatments. She became so ill, lost all her hair, suffered from pneumonia several times this year and she had to stop working and is still not well at all. The point I'm trying to make is that although the tumors are worrying and one would like them to disappear as soon as possible, at least with the Budwig protocol you know that you are keeping them in check although it might take some time for them to disappear, but you will be able to enjoy a wonderful active quality of life. Rick mentioned studying successful protocols and that they all include sunlight - a very interesting observation indeed. Another golden similarity in all the successful protocols is a raw food diet with no, or very little animal protein. I recently read a book that I ordered from Amazon. It was written many many years ago (1928)- The Grape Cure by Johanna Brandt. What an interesting read. Although she doesn't include our wonderful fo/cc in her diet she stresses the fact the she was unable to heal herself until she realized that it is because she is eating the wrong foods. She switched to an all raw food diet and I think that is maybe how she overcame her cancer. She reckons that the grape is charged with the magnetism of the sun and every tendril is a living receiver of the cosmic magnetism (her words). Also very similar to our Budwig diet. Meat and cooked foods according to her are the wrong foods if you want to overcome cancer. Enzymes in foods are destroyed if the food is cooked - as simple as that. She was also a firm believer in sunlight therapy. The body needs all the enzymes possible to overcome cancer. Something that our dear Dr Budwig also stressed - along with sunlight and fo/cc. Keep well Cheryl -------Original Message-------

You seemed to have found the key. When you study all the successful protocols they include sunlight. You can go to the files area of this group and find lots more on Budwig and sunlight: It is interesting that most recommend getting sunlight before 11 am or after 3 pm - but that is not what one of the most knowledgable proponents of sunlight Krispin Sullivan recommends. "In order to achieve optimal levels of vitamin D, 85 percent of body surface needs exposure to prime midday sun. (About 100-200 IU of vitamin D is produced for each 5 percent of body surface exposed, we want 4,000 iu.)" And now the recommendations for anyone with disease is getting about 20,000 IU of vitamin D from sunlight naturally. --- In FlaxSeedOil2@..., "skpound" <skpound@y...> wrote:

I'm currently doing Dr. Lorraine Day's anti-cancer program in
conjunction with Dr. Budwig's. They're both very compatible. One of the 10 steps of Dr. Day's program is getting some sunlight each day. (I may have read that here also) Anyways, I just sat out in the sunlight for 15 minutes front and 15 minutes back. I have to say my skin feels envigorated, I feel more energy and my skin just feels healthier after getting some sunshine. I'm planning to make it a habit. The only cautions I've read are to not get too much sun and to avoid 11am-3pm as the UV rays are highest at those times. Here's a couple of articles on the benefits of sunshine. FDA wins Court order restricting Lane Labs-Shark Cartilege for Cancer
Lane Labs has been selling Shark Cartilege for Cancer. They had some studies
supporting it, but probably could not make a cancer claim. arnold ----------------- Forwarded Message: Subj:Sent to my friends and colleagues -- by Julia (Schopick)- the FDA strikes big! Date:7/26/2004 12:10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time From:JuliaS1573 To:JuliaS1573 FDA NEWS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE P04-64 July 13, 2004 U.S. District Judge Issues Permanent Injunction Against Lane Labs-USA, Inc. and Orders Firm to Refund Money to Purchasers of Illegally Marketed Unapproved Drugs The Food and Drug Administration today announced that Judge William G. Bassler of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, has found that three products sold by Lane Labs-USA, Inc. and its president Andrew J. Lane (the defendants) as dietary supplements and a cosmetic - Benefin, MGN-3 and SkinAnswer - are, in fact, unapproved new drugs under federal law because they were being mar- keted as treatments for cancer, HIV, and skin cancer with- out FDA approval. In addition, Judge Bassler permanently enjoined the defendants from distributing BeneFin, MGN-3, and SkinAnswer unless the products are first either approved for marketing by the FDA or distributed pursuant to an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for purposes of conducting a clinical trial. Judge Bassler also ordered the defendants to pay restitution to all purchasers of BeneFin, MGN-3 and SkinAnswer since September 22, 1999. 'Today's action by Judge Bassler sends a strong signal that the promotion and sale of unapproved drug products, espec- ially for the treatment of cancer and other serious diseases, will not be tolerated,' said Dr. Lester M. Crawford, Acting Commissioner of Food and Drugs. 'Moreover, the court's decision ordering the defendants in this case to refund money to all purchasers of the unlaw- fully marketed products is particularly significant, because it puts promoters of such illegal products on notice that they cannot profit from this type of exploitation,' added Dr. Crawford. FDA issued a warning letter to the defendants in September, 1997. Nevertheless, the defendants continued promoting BeneFin, MGN-3, and SkinAnswer as treatments for cancer and other diseases through such means as mailings, Internet web sites, and employee statements. BeneFin, produced from shark cartilage, was promoted as a treatment for cancer. SkinAnswer, a glycoalkaloid skin cream, was marketed as a treatment for skin cancer. MGN-3, a rice-bran extract, was promoted as a treatment for cancer and HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. The government's request for a permanent injunction was based on the defendants' demonstrated unwillingness to comply with the law." COMMENT FROM BILL HENDERSON, WHO HAS A CANCER NEWSLETTER: SO, YOUR GOVERNMENT WORKS TO PROTECT YOU This type of action by the FDA and FTC is almost always the direct result of a complaint from a pharmaceutical company. Any natural substance which appears to have promise of treating a disease for which there are huge profits to be made from pharmaceutical drugs gets put down. If this doesn't help you vow to take charge of your own health care, I'm not sure what will. |

Hi everyone,
I have just been diagnosed with PCa, gleason 7 and we don't know if it has spread any past the prostate yet. I will get the "final" word from the doctor on the 17th of Aug. I have been doing FO/CC for about 6 weeks now, at 4-6 tsp of flax oil per day and 4-5 tsp of ground FS per day. NO meats, fish and dairy except for the cc. My diet is raw fruits and vegies except occasionally for supper I have some cooked beans and sometimes brown rice. I also take several supplements including almost all of the natural 5- lo inhibitors I can find. (Zyfkamend and added ginger and I am still looking for boswellia) I also take ellagic acid and eat lots of red raspberries. My questions are these: 1: How long before I go to the maintenance amounts? Omega 3 and omega 6 require a balance for good health. Before I started the fo/cc I fasted for 15 days on lemon juice and I feel that may have helped reduce the omega 6's. I also take CLA and that is supposed to create an imbalance quicker than the 2-3 months. For those diagnosed with PCa, how long normally do (did) you stay on the full 6-8 tsp FO? 2: Are you sure it works (FO CC and prostate cancer) My second question exists only because of the bad press on LNA. I feel there are reasonable reasons for the bad press on LNA and PCa. I understand that one answer would be that it was not assimable as a supplement without the cc. I quess I need some reasurance that this works for prostate cancer. Paul |
