Re: How many of you work with cancer?

Pat, it sounds like you're doing everything right to aid your own recovery. The only thing I would add is to perhaps study up on Guided Imagery. Here's an eloquent testimonial and a tutorial on how to do it:

I am currently recovering from breast cancer. I started back to work
recently doing 20-30 hours a week so I can be home for my daughter
after school. My hours are from 9 to 3 and sometimes I get off early
if business is slow. I work for a call center taking phone orders.
The trick to working is finding a job to suit you without getting
stressed out. My income is low enough where I qualify for medicaid
and public housing. I found a good alternative healthcare
practitioner who is willing to work with me financially. I also use
the internet to order most of my supplements that he has recommended
for me to take.

I start my mornings with fo/cc over a bowl of mixed berries and
grounded flax seeds. I find that this really keeps me full during the
day. I take a piece of fruit and bottled water to work for breaktime
since I don't really have a lunch period. When I come home I fix my
main meal of fresh vegetables and some type of high quality protein.
My favorite is wild salmon. I use the Oil-Protein Diet as a
guideline. I am a carboholic so I avoid a lot of simple carbohydrates
such as bread, potatoes, corn and rice. I use a lot of quinoa which
is an excellent alternative to rice and potatoes.

I keep my diet simple and easy which helps. When I have time to
experiment I like trying out the different recipes in Dr. Budwig's
book. It's not that hard once you decide to just do it. Everything
else falls into place.
