I’d wait —especially if you have an iPhone linked to a Watch AND use Reminders. Reminders between iPhone and iPad are now working ok. However, trying to set a Reminder using the Watch app just doesn’t work. I use an iPhone 7, iPad Pro and Watch 3. All have the latest updates. CD "She is both hellfire and holy water. Ladies & Gentlemen I have noticed (since updating the Operating system to 13.something) that when I'm listening to AudioBooks downloaded onto the iphone that the volume resets to the mid point on the scale rather than maximum (where I need it because I suffer from severe hearing loss). I'm listening on BORROWBOX - which is provided free by Hertfordshire Libraries I have only noticed this since changing the OS and suspect that's the cause. Any suggestions, please? I'm sending now directly from groups.io Good morning all, Since updating both my iMac (2013) to Catalina, and my iPhone 7+ to 13.1.3 my Notes are not syncing as they use to. They still sync, but it’s extremely slow, sometimes not happening until overnight while my phone is plugged in charging. It doesn’t matter if I add/change a note on my phone or Mac, either way it’s extremely slow to sync. I rely on my Notes for everything, and I do mean everything! I have 171 notes. I have turned off syncing on my phone (Settings/Apple ID/iCloud/Notes), and on my Mac, and shut down both. This removed all my Notes and it took nearly an hour for them to re-appear on both devices.. Calendar has been having somewhat of the same issue with syncing, but not quite as bad. Any suggestions to speed up syncing would be greatly appreciated. Janet

I wanted everyone's input on if we should allow pictures in the emails or not? I first wanted to allow everything here, then thought if we get bigger and many send pictures, people using cell phones or limited data plans might not want them. I can limit the size I think, but then that makes a problem sending them as I just tried a few times and mine were never sent. We can have a photos sections here on the site, but they have a limit on how much storage else you have to pay. So are photos important to you and how would you like the group to work? Rich

I apologize if this has been addressed, but, in the past six months my battery (iPhone 8) literally drains while I'm using it from full charge (100%) down to 1% if I don't keep it on the charger while I use it. I can watch the battery drain while I'm talking. I have to keep it on the charger constantly so I can use it for a few minutes off the charger. When I looked at the battery health it says 58%. What can I do on my end to help stop this fast drain besides getting a new battery, which I will at some point. I must be missing something that works in the background to drain the battery so fast. There used to be an ap called “video” on which one could see movies downloaded on iTunes. This ap has disappeared from my phone. Neither am I able to find it on the ap store. Help please!

Ladies & Gentlemen I'm sending this to both old and new groups as suspect that many helpful people have NOT yet transferred to the new IO list; I hope that doesn't upset anybody. I used to be able to touch the box with an arrow at the foot of the screen when looking at a website to save the URL of a website as an icon on my home-page. But I can NOT see any way of doing this on the new Operating System 13.1.3 Can anybody tell me how I can do this now, please? With best wishes and thanks MC Black

Since I upgraded to iOS 13, I can no longer print documents attached to emails. I used to be able to print PDFs or word documents directly from the mail app (download the doc and send it to the printer.) Now I don’t see a print option. For Word docs, I can select “Copy to Word”, then print it from Word, then close word. For PDFs, however I have to save the doc to OneDrive, then open it from OneDrive, then print it. But I then have to delete it from OneDrive if it’s not something I want to keep. I would rather not have to do all of these steps. Am I missing something? I’ve noticed that the people responding who have not had problems with iOS 13 have new model phones/watches. If my issues with battery draining and Reminders not syncing from Watch 3 to iPhone 7 is due to the models involved, I think Apple’s techs should have admitted it to me during my marathon phone call. Why say it works with older models when it Introduces problems? If they had admitted limitations up front, then those of us not ready for the latest-greatest could make informed decisions. Bad move, Apple. I expect better from this company.

Welcome all. I know things will be really slow at first going from over 13k members to just starting again, but please give it time. All suggestions are welcome, this is YOUR group and we are going to allow some things the old group didn't like more places for your photos, more control of the way you get the messages and much more. Turned on new iPhone and followed Apple instructions. Got past the info regarding my current phone provider. Now my old iPhone is saying “keep phone near new phone will information is transferred” and the new iPhone is saying “it may take a few minutes to activate your iPhone”. Been like this for about 20 minutes now. What I don’t know is, if my information is being transferred or it’s about activation. Transferring could take an hour, from past experience. Activation should be pretty quick….and that would be followed by transferring. Anyone who has been thru this recently who can tell me what to expect? Is it just ‘activating’ or is it really transferring? Should I just wait an hour or is something hung up. No feedback from the phones. TIA gang! David

Since updating to iOS 13 the battery on my iPhone 7 is draining much faster than before. It is supposed to be working at 88%. The Books app is supposed to be the big draw at 50% of juice used. However, I only use Books about a half hour a day max. The battery drains 30% overnight when it is not being used at all. I find myself needing to plug in at least twice a day. Is anyone else having similar problems? My DH's 5S needs replacing. He usually inherits mine when I upgrade. But I don’t want to give him a problem iPhone. My iPad Pro's battery seems to function same as pre upgrade. The problem for me seems to be restricted to the 7. Please share any info/ insights you might have.
