Welcome to the new home of the Yahoo iPhone Group.
Welcome all.? I know things will be really slow at first going from over 13k members to just starting again, but please give it time.
All suggestions are welcome, this is YOUR group and we are going to allow some things the old group didn't like more places for your photos, more control of the way you get the messages and much more. Rich |
开云体育Thank you Rich. It always such a challenge with new procedures. Thank you for keeping the group going and taking the effort to completely transfer to a new platform?Sue Cordially, Susan Ferraglio-Genecco, DVM? On Oct 16, 2019, at 4:38 PM, Rkkeller <thekellergroup@...> wrote:

Got it - makes sense. ?All my groups are moderated so I get it. ? Io has hashtags too which can be useful if you want to categorize posts ...?

Hashtags is a way to organize the group so that members can easily search #iphone11 and find all convo related to that model.... It can be applied to category you can think of ... The moderator/owner of this group can set up hashtags or let members use what they want -- which isn't conducive to keeping the list organized.?? Rachel

But it also helps if everyone uses sensible topic names/subject lines. Otto On Thu, 17 Oct 2019 at 16:05, Rachel via Groups.Io <rachelfran=[email protected]> wrote:

Rich, Dave Kelly used the bulk invitation, and we still had to go though the moderation stage.

Quality over quantity, any day.? I'm sure there were many lurkers, many who did not feel they could contribute. It might also be good to thin the ranks of inactive email accounts. A lot of the lurkers are those that only come to the groups, what are not heavy users, and only look when they have a problem, instead of skimming the post and learning ahead of time. Just like face to face groups, sports, hobby or social. There are the doers and those that are just along for the ride. I'm mostly a lurker, contribute occasionally. But I get all the emails and read them and have found some answers to questions I've had without having to post the question. The 3G was my first iPhone so I've been around here for 10+ years even if my presence isn't seen often. Thanks for all the feedback I can learn from.
