Images that I have imported by means of Airdrop from a source like my Mac, my iPad, or my wife's iPhone all appear in Photos as part of the camera roll and are treated just the same (in terms of deletability) ?as photos taken by the iPhone itself.
Images that I transferred from my Mac using iTunes in years past cannot be removed from the iPhone in the same simple way; they have their own simple way: don’t sync them. That is, turn off syncing of photos, and re-sync, or remove the particular images from those being sync’d.

It would cost $200 to get an Apple replacement for the screen on the 7.
It would cost a little under $200 to get a complete iPhone 7 (used) from Amazon.
They have iPhone 8’s in the $300-$350 range.
Wow! ?I’ll have to check that out. ?Also the X models Pat suggests. ?Thanks for the tips.

The only way to see the battery % in iOS 13 and iPhone 11 is put your finger in the top right corner and pull down. This was done because of the notch of the screen.

Some one posted an article about how upgrading makes the devices resync and rescan for search inquires, and it may take a few days since they are background chores.
I would leave the two phones on and then check them in a week before making any ra$h move$.

He can get a brand new iPhone 6s with a year of Apple Warranty from Consumer Cellular for $200 if he is willing to switch over and stay for six months. ?CC uses AT&T and T-Mo and their rates are extremely competitive.

Re: Selecting Text in New iOS
You can also use a finger on one hand to hold down the space bar and a finger on the other hand to easily move the cursor.

When I was in email (Apple App) I use to be able to touch and hold in an area and a little magnifying glass would pop up and I could move the cursor to the exact spot I wanted insert text or delete text, etc. I can no longer do that under 13.X. I cannot find a setting for it either. I’ve had that feature for years and now it appears to be gone. I don’t recall ever setting it up in any configuration. I thought it was a default feature. It’s very hard to select where I want the cursor now. ? Thanks, Tom in NM

Hi Alice - interesting about the spaces. I did try the swipe option on my iPad Pro. It doesn’t work when the key pad is in large mode but when I reduce its size swipe is just like on the iPhone.

I use to use Gboard for swipe typing. It was a very nice keyboard. Then I started using the built-in feature. It works well if I don’t swipe too fast. With Gboard, I got pretty good at swipe typing. Could do it pretty fast. With the Apple version, if I swipe fast like using the Gboard version, the Apple version isn’t accurate.
Does anyone know if the Apple version learns over time how one swipes?

Maybe a quick time-out, but why would?that matter? The app would preserve your last input in any case.

I have an Apple Store 20 minute drive from me, and I *have* had Applecare repairs on Mac computers (but not iPhones or iPads). I’ve had Mac laptops for over 20 years.
The significant problems needed to be sent off (as opposed to fixed in store). One time, with a brand new machine, they pulled it off the repair line to do a complete disassembly for Quality Assurance purposes, but someone forgot to make the notation to “send customer a new machine”, and I had to call to ask about it before they sent a new one.
Another time, I had *a* problem (that I knew about), but when I got it back from Texas, in a matter of 4 days or so, they had replaced the screen, the motherboard, and much of the innards. Under Applecare.
