Hi all I had modified a SteppIR flow 2 1/2 yrs ago for a MonstIR at the remote station in Hawaii. It worked great! Stupid me never made a good backup after the work I did. Anyone have a copy I sent them or a good working SteppIR flow? I have a couple but have links to other flows or are for multiple radios. I am looking for a simple flow that has Tracking On & Off, Home, Calibrate, 180 and ability to take frequency in from radio (Flex 6400) I know I have sent the flow I did to others on the group. 73 Dave wo2x Sent from my waxed string and tin cans.

Hi All, Has the Pi5 GPIO issue been resolved? I checked the RPi forum and most of the topics are dated with February 2025 indicating the issue may be ongoing. I'm finding GPIO inputs to be very unstable and frequently toggle status for unknown reasons. Is there a working lib for GPIO on the Pi 5? -- Bill - N1HKO

Good Evening As the title says; I was hoping to find something for the HL2+ and extras. My shack has multiple radios. The HL2+ is connected to a Hardrock 50 then fed into an SPE Expert. This all tracks seamlessly off of Thetis running on a 12v cube pc. I know a lot of guys use flex on here, but my search for Hermes flows didn’t come up with anything. I also use a Kenwood TS890 into the SPE. On the SPE output, I have a dipole and a Stepper 3el spun by a Yeasu rotator interfacing with another computer using ERC rotor control and the SPE term. I have been intrigued by node red for about a year, but my skills don’t match my desire. I have attempted to grab individual flows and use them on some of my gear, with no real luck. You guys make it look so easy! My goal would be to try and build a desktop with both my radios and equipment. A bonus would be to remote into the station. If anyone has time to help me out with this, it would be much appreciated. -- Thanks, 73 Tony N7ZS

I have several idle RPi 3B+ units. But they have only 1 GB of RAM. My old 2020 RPi3 node-red unit ran just fine with 32bit OS and 32bit .net install. If I build a new fresh install with Pi OS bookworm right now, I assume I should still use the 32bit OS, since it is an RPi 3 B+ with only 1GB of ram. But on this Group's Wiki, the notes for installing .Net aspcore 8.0.13 (latest as of 2/13/25) and FRStack WebAPI 3.8.12.78 (latest as of 2/13/25) only talk about the 64bit versions. Does this group know the download locations for the 32bit versions of .net and FRStack API, or in 2025, do you feel that I should no longer use the Raspberry Pi3, and instead buy a Pi4 with 4GB and install everything in 64bit? I wanted to try to use the Pi3, since most of the time, the CPU utilization never went above 40%. Looking forward to your mentoring and/or advice. Thanks, Neal

Hi All, I'm moving my Node RED flows for TGXL control from Windows to a Rasp Pi. I have never owned or used a Pi and know just the basics. In addition to the Pi, I need a minimum of a 10 pin GPIO. Can anyone offer guidance on just how much capability and capacity I need in this Pi? Pi 4 or 5? Ram? Cases? Kit? Any and all help appreciated. Thanks and 73, -- Bill - N1HKO

I'm trying to get ERC Rotor Control working with my Yaesu G-450A rotor controller and Node-Red. The ERC works fine on Windows, but I'm getting an error when I connect it to Node-Red. I've imported the ERC Rotor Control node and deployed it, and it appears to be listening for the controller, but I see this error repeatedly: "TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'trim')". How can I troubleshoot this error? I don't know where I should be looking.

HELP with FRStack I have configured my FLEX6600 (XVTR settings) for use with several transverters 144, 432, 1296 MHz…………. Selecting the different transverters from the Flex Band selector works fine i.e. the frequency, Mode, Bandwidth, antennas etc. are saved for each Band. Running the station Remote I have a RPI4 + I2C Relays with Node-RED + FRStack controlling the station. When Remote I use REST Commands for band switching i.e. http://localhost:5025/ActiveSlice/BAND?param=XVTR0, 1, 2, 3……….. The Band switching works Remote but other band settings is lost ! It is frustrating to correct several setting every time you change Band. Jens - SM6AFV

Hello in order to have the DX Alarms I've defined in the logger/cluster (RumLog) on my dashboard I'd like to get and then handle notification messages coming from my Mac into Node Red. I did several temptatives using node-red-contrib-sysmessage node with no success (I tried using 5223 or 443 or 2197 Tcp ports) Can anybody give me some help/suggestion/example ? Can anyone share the scripts that a ham radio club uses to give access to club members to a Flex6400 radio? We currently use a VPN and it works BUT users are presented witth the standard SmartSDR. I saw several examples of custom UIs that only give usess access to functions the club let's them use. I for one wants to learn how to use Node Red but to do so, I need a jump start. If you can share scropts, we can use them for our club and I will then work with others to learn how to customize them, and share back. It's like how I learned how to configure code plugs for DMR and P25 ... I started wth functional code plugs, then learned how to build them

Hi: I have been away from node-red since 2020. Back then, I was using the VITA49 and Flex Radio V6 flows that Dave shared, on a RPi 3B+. I have that all working again as of yesterday. (I used to be N6YFM, now AB6G since Aug 2024) Now, I just googled and found a few threads where it looks like most people have dumped the above flows, and are now using FRStack API and DotNET. Is this a better way to go? QUESTION: I found superficial hints that the RPi3 was no longer good enough for all this, since it only has 1GB of RAM. It looks like most people are now running this on a RPi4 with the 4GB RAM model being appropriate? Is this information correct? Should I move to an RPi4 with 4GB ram? Also, to aid my learning in the transition, where can I find the most recent version of the Flex Radio 6600 flows that use FRStack API and DotNet? Sincere Thanks, Neal
