The Hamvention forum team has asked me to present another Node Red forum this year. Last years forum was one of the most attended forums, so instead of presenting the same slide show, I was going to point people to my YT videos and forum recording. This year I want to show a live demo, but need some feedback from the newer users on hang ups? What issues have you run into when getting started? What would you like to see from a new user perspective? I will record this forum again and place it on my YT channel. Sound off on what you'd like to see in a new user forum. 73 Kyle AA0Z

What would TCI give that you can’t do with the existing flows for your radio and WSJT-X? You could do what I did with the original Flex flow. Use a TCP Request node to send TCI API commands. 73 Dave wo2x

Im setting up node-red on a raspberry pi 4 for my Flexradio and and adding the pallete items suggested by the wiki. Only one module fails: "node-red-contrib-stoptimer3". The log says: WARN 2022-12-07T20:00:14.062Z [err] config production Use `--omit=dev` instead. 2022-12-07T20:00:16.192Z [err] npm 2022-12-07T20:00:16.193Z [err] ERR! Cannot convert undefined or null to object 2022-12-07T20:00:16.198Z [err] I rebooted and tried again with same fail. Is this pallete module broken or should I re-do the setup. Hello Alan - I hope that you are doing well. A few years back you helped me with deploying your Flex Station Control. It has worked just great over the years, but I recently had to upgrade to a new Win 11 computer and now I am having palette node issues. Could I ask for your help, again? Cool little devices for home automation and relays, pain the butt trying to get them to turn on/off via MQTT. The documentation on the Shelly website is not correct. Does anybody have a Shelly device and is controlling it via MQTT? I just got a Shelly Plus 1 to play around with and not having any luck turning the relay off/on via MQTT. I can see it in MQTT explorer...just can't turn the relay off/on. I'm sure it's something dumb... Kyle AA0Z

A friend of mine got an GH RT-21 rotor controller and got it talking on the network. The internal web server is at :8080. I'm looking at the current RT-21 flow in the files section and looks like it was setup for serial communication. We'd like to communicate to it directly without PST Rotator running on a PC. Has anybody been able to talk to the RT-21 over the network on port 8080? I'm not sure what port the GH device is listening on to respond to console commands. GH support has been unresponsive. Does anyone have a lightweight small rotor control for a Yeasu G-2800DXA? I tried to reduce the size of one posted here, however it works displays the position correctly for a second and truncates the first digit after a few seconds. like 245 after a few seconds is 45. I can post the flow if anyone would like to test it. Thanks! Mike WA3O

I am using the rotor control for PSTRotatorAZ. Today, my rotor control suddenly stopped working. No indicator or movement when clicked. It works as expected manually at the YRC-1 controller. In looking at the flow, the serial out and serial in are showing connected. But I am getting the following text in the debug window. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
