Are there any secrets to getting the dashboard layout to do what you'd like
Mack and the group: As you have found, you can change the order of the tabs and groups to change the look of the Dashboard.? However, this only works for one size and zoom level of the browser. You can force certain widgets always to be grouped by moving dashboard widgets into the same group. In the end, when I could not get the Dashboard look I wanted, so, as a workaround, I used multiple browser windows on the same display.? Node-Red can support more than?one browser session. Like in your case, use one browser window for the rotors, open a second browser window for the Flex controls, and place both on the same display, resizing each browser as you?see fit. To go further, move groups to a new Node-Red Dashboard Tab, and create a new browser session to resize and display the same on your monitor. Here is a screenshot of my monitor, with three Node-Red browser windows, each showing a different Tab, each sized and zoomed to what works best: Node-Red has a Dashboard tool for building custom dashboards, but you must know about writing HTML code. As a bonus, for some types of browsers, like Chrome. ?
After you build, display, and zoom as desired, a browser session on your monitor, make it into a "browser app." ?I know that Chrome supports converting a browser window into an app. Then, double-click on the "apps" to show each on your display. Alan. WA9WUD |

Thank you to Alan and Bent. Scaling the windows and making it into an app was a big help. @Bent I implemented Fancy Zones and that was the final part of the solution.? Merry Christmas! 73, W4AX On Mon, Dec 12, 2022 at 8:18 AM Alan Blind, WA9WUD <a.alan.blind@...> wrote: As a bonus, for some types of browsers, like Chrome. ? |
I maybe late to the party, but here is my thoughts.
Node-Red allows for various sizing of the dashboard grid on the site tab for the side panel of dashboard. Example: Display is 1920x1080 grids are 48x48. You would be able to have 40 grids across and 22 grids tall.? groups fill from right to left with the ability to optimize width space, while however you layout information inside the group is up to you. also it's best to use a template node to help size your CSS so that you do not have to zoom out when you use your dashboard. (just implemented that on the the contest dashboard) 73, Connor KD9LSV? |
Connor, Thank you for the suggestion. I'm unfamiliar?with template nodes. Would you please send me the one you are using? 73, W4AX On Fri, Dec 16, 2022 at 8:12 AM Connor KD9LSV via <connor=[email protected]> wrote: I maybe late to the party, but here is my thoughts. |
Mack I can explain.? It is about?CSS Style sheets.? I included style templates on your flow set.? Easier to explain in a call.? Now OK? ? Alan On Sat, Dec 17, 2022 at 6:11 AM w4axmack <w4ax.mack@...> wrote:
