Can AirPods Pro earbuds be paired to smart TVs?

They’re impressive indeed as regards sonic fidelity (and even the amount of bass they reproduce), but today I tried to pair them with my LG 4K OLED TV, which I’ve been able to pair with Bose Headphones, my Beats Pro X Bluetooth buds, and even my Phonak hearing aids, but I could NOT seem to pair them to the TV. Am I just doing something wrong, or is this something the AirPods Pro cannot do? --? Jim Robertson

The AirPods Pro pair differently from the first and second generation AirPods, virtually automatically as soon as you open the case. Jim Robertson As I recall, when I got first generation AirPods, the instructions say that to pair with an iPhone you merely have to open the case near the phone, but to pair with something else you have to push the button on the back of the case. If you just got them you are probably covered, as with other Apple equipment for 90 days free phone support. Give them a call. — Barry Austern barryaus@...
