Recommended mouse pad

A while ago there was a recommendation for a mouse pad. I tried searching mouse pad but came up empty. Does anyone remember suggesting a good one??

Re: mac trade in prrogram MacBook Pro

Mine is a 2012, and working fine.

Have you tried reinstalling the OS? If the HDD is failing, fitting an SSD will transform it.

I¡¯m looking at a replacement - current model on the apple website; retail $1499.? If I try to trade the old one in [cosmetics OK, only issue is that while it WILL boot the OS, it usually takes several tries. It also has 3rd party [OWC] SSD and added memory.

If it flunks the trade in process, do they send it back or offer me a lower price alternative?? I would donate the machine to a nonprofit with someone with some tech smarts who could maybe have it repaired.

For my edification only, what do you mean by "Automatic paper feed for all modes"?

Sorry I wasn't clearer. It seems that some of the AIO printers I looked at had auto sheet feeders for printing only. So you would not be able to stack several items to copy or Fax.

Which is why I replaced my ink jet printer with a Brother MFC9130 laser printer.

I had read you previous post I concur with your thoughts. My spouse often prints off patterns and likes color for that task. I've had several mono-chrome laser printers going back as far as Apple's original and the ability for the printer to sit unused for long periods while still printing reliably when needed was great.?

Re: AIO Printer Recommendation (one more thing)

Which is why I replaced my ink jet printer with a Brother MFC9130 laser printer. The toner is dry and is ready to print when I am. The consumables are expensive, the printer is not. However, there are aftermarket suppliers with more reasonable prices on consumables. It is no more expensive for me to use this laser printer than the ink jet. I was always wasting expensive ink ¡®cleaning¡¯ the heads. Sometimes the cleaning operation had to be done 3 or 4 times to get it printing correctly. Most of the ink is just wasted. It is worth it to me to not be aggravated by having to constantly ¡®fiddle¡¯ with the printer to coax it to work. Cost per page is about the same as an ink jet.

If you print constantly like our in-house lawyer, then clogged heads on an ink jet are probably NOT an issue. If you print infrequently, then that can be an issue.

Of course, the ultimate disclaimer: YMMV

Howdy.

Found on an Apple KB.
"They were parts of an older OS and no longer exist. The launchd plists
should have been removed. The part that is wrong are the plists, not
the executables."

Extended Survey Program.
This <might> be some kind of, well, survey program by Canon. I'm not
sure about this. Do you have a Canon printer/scanner??

I run DetectX automatically at every boot-up (and I turn my laptop off overnight most nights, so ¡°Boot-up¡± is usually every day).
I then close it, but if I install a new piece of software, DetectX brings up a requester asking if it should check again.
Since its check only takes a few seconds, I always say ¡°yes¡±.
