The router is the only thing plugged into the UPS. I originally bought the UPS for my Mac Pro quite a few years ago. The UPS had been unused since the demise of the Mac Pro, and I only started using it again in April. It is a RocketFish 1025VA. I think that¡¯s a Best Buy brand.

I live in Oregon, so it is common during hard freezes to lose power. In the early fall, I make sure I charge up a portable battery pack and buy batteries for the flash lights. Then I stock the pantry with food that needs minimal cooking.
