I can be the safety officer for this years summer Hamfest. ?As of right now I do not have anything planned as far as work for this weekend. ?I can provide a medical bag with oxygen for the event along with 2 Ryobi misting cans. ?These fans attach to a 10 gallon bucket and with water and ice provide significant cooling. ?

Brian - There is a cheap $475, FT- 991, not A, on the QRZ Swapmeet - Ham Radio Gear for Sale.
It's only been on there a couple of days. Good price.

Here's the link if it works:
If it doesn't, just search the Ham radio gear search box for FT-991.

Re: 2023 Annular Eclipse pictures

Nice work Tim.

We (HHZ, the fam and I) drove over to London TX (south of Mason) and with my phone camera through the paper glasses filter, I got some shots, not all lined up like yours, but we got the ring:
Emacs!

I bought a 12"x12" sheet of the film and this weekend will fit it to my Meade 220 8" telescope, and using a mount I 3D printed, will have my phone attached precisely to the eyepiece to get shots next monday.
I took the day off, as this will probably be my only chance to experience one, the next one over the USA is like 2040-something, who knows if Ill make it that long.
(grandparents made it to 70, dad made it to 80, but Ill probably get hit by an asteroid between now and then :-)? )

Hello Gene,

Thank you for that information.?

That is interesting on the 146.840 shows or announces it is ‘trying’ to connect.? I was not aware of the announcements on that end.? I have been trying to figure out a connection problem, why I am not able to connect my repeater.

At my end, I see in a red banner, “Connecting” for about 10 seconds and then I get “Connection Failed”.

?

I had forgot some Echolink setup’s make announcements right on top of ongoing conversations.? My apologies, Arrggg ?

Hi John:

Your radio equipment transmitted over and over and over again? your callsign - without interruption, so nobody else could transmit for, I don't know, maybe a minute or so...until timeout.? You might want to check out your equipment.? This occurred at approx. 10:35 am today, Tuesday, March 26th.
