?? This year the ARRL Field Day is June 22-23.? We have reserved the Railroad Pavillon at the Southwest Regional Park for our activies.? Now is the time to start planning to operate and attend.? Yes, it will be hot.? Welcome to summer in Texas. :-)
?? Mike has agreed to let the club use his call sign, AF5M, for the club operations.? Thanks, Mike!? Last year we had a GOTA station as well, which uses a different call sign.? If you would like to be captain of the GOTA station, please let me know.
?? I'm fine using the electric power at the pavillion, grid power.? If you would like for us to use a generator and get more bonus points, now is the time to get it working, do any maintenance, and make preparations to be on-site to operate the generator
?? We should have a Safety Officer on site, both for safety and for bonus points.? Please, someone volunteer for this position.? You do not have to operate, just be on site and ready to call 911.
? We need several people willing to bring radio stations and antennas, along with laptops for logging, and operate.? Of course, anyone wanting to just visit is welcome.
?? I'm sure I am missing a few things we need for Field Day.? However, please start planning to attend and help during that weekend.? Thanks!
