I agree with the second, not so sure about the first. And I looked at
the website that Dave M, supplied earlier, (or was it one of his cats
who typed it? Or perhaps it was one of his other staff, and their
cats?) However at the moment setting things up along with that site is
currently a little beyond me. But setting up that example you cited,
that looks promising.

Yes the is a product, VM Passthrough, which allows you to connect you screen to multiple systems using bi-sync or SDLC links but it’s a program product so not available to us.

I? think that is the purpose of the SDI CTCI product.

If that is the case, getting multiple operating systems running under Hercules to communicate is possible in full or half duplex.

Using the U of Maine PER facility is the ONLY way to go with debugging.. Its intro in the late 70's(?) era was, in my mind, the single biggest advancement to VM program development. Every VM shop around the world had that mod installed.

The debugging facilities included in CMS are primitively minimal (or minimally primitive?)... they are a holdover from CMS67... and... they are invasive... ADSTOP and TRACE work by replacing the 1st halfword of each instruction with a special SVC
