RX-only HF mod?
Hey all, just found this group. Maybe this is a stupid question but bear with me. Is there a way to get RX-only on HF (or disable TX on the the antenna port)? I don¡¯t use HF much in my 847 and got

That rather sounds like previous owner had a tuner with it, and could explain error signal. Radio was looking for something not there. Unfortunate you had loaded memories before resetting.

I don't think it is possible to do a partial reset to retain memories. You can do a reset to delete memories, but retain settings, but not the other way around. Time to get out a pencil and paper and

Hi Jeff, normally shows error when trying to tx out of band as you say. Have you done a reset, that quite often cures things. Power off, FAST and LOCK held in, power on. See if that cures it. It may
