Hi, indeed there is. Uber has a website that you can use on the computer.
And there's also something called go go grandparent which I don't know if
they serve Canada or not but I would be glad to check and they use Uber I
think. You call gogo grandparent over the telephone.

One thing I didn¡¯t like about advance scheduling on Uber is that its harder to contact the driver. Perhapsthis has. changed. That was about 2 years ago.?

Is Lyft accessible? Lyft ?wasn¡¯t too accessible last i knew.

But to cut right to the chase, I started using Uber last year with the help of a sighted tutor. I've had no problems with the service itself, or Lyft which I've used a few times as well. The Uber app seems to get along pretty well with VoiceOver, but I've had some issues. I think this is due in part to my slow typing on the phone, but that will improve over time. I've since had a number of ongoing social engagements which have more or less eaten up my time, so I haven't done as much with my iPhone as I probably should. But I do have some 3rd-party apps on there in addition to Uber. I don't currently have the Lyft app, but hopefully I can find the time to get it soon. I think that's all from me for now. More later.

they serve Canada or not but I would be glad to check and they use Uber I
think. You call gogo grandparent over the telephone.

Hello everyone, we have had a serious growing amount of members and I
wanted
to take the time to welcome everyone. The reason why am posting, is
because
somebody said that the group has some issues. And they've tried to post to
the group so I'm going to see if this post goes through.

Re: Welcome everyone

We don't have Lift here.

Hi,

I don't believe there is, unfortunately, but there might be with Lyft.

There are also services you can call in to get rides, and you are charged a
monthly subscription, but don't remember the name of that service.

Re: Welcome everyone

Hi Joseph. Okay. Is there a way to comment like saying to go into the main
entrance and see the security guard. With a normal cab, I can say on the
phone I'm blind and to see the security guard. Also do they actually park
and take you inside the building to say your doctor's office?

Hi, indeed there is. Uber has a website that you can use on the computer.
And there's also something called go go grandparent which I don't know if
they serve Canada or not but I would be glad to check and they use Uber I
think. You call gogo grandparent over the telephone.

The PC is great for setting up, but can you also schedule your return or a
time call?

This is a question I have been meaning to ask about Uber service. The
ability to schedule a time call would be really helpful, especially if you
are like us, and don't live in an area with cabs available.
