Pour in a small amount of ATF and swish it around. Drain extra out of petcock holes. When you put gas in it the coating of ATF will wash out and not harm the carbs. Richard Chawes

PS. If you have the EME EDL BOIGNS system, as I recall it allows a simple roadside reversion back to points ignition. That would be an easy test.

I think you mentioned that you put in a new ignition. If you changed out plugs and/or leads, check to make sure the combined resistance is to spec. I had that cause some similar intermittent firing

No, I¡¯m referring to the carb float bowl overflow ¨C a sure sign of a worn needle-jet (rubber tip) which reeks havoc with fuel flow at can ultimately completely fail and drain fuel from the tank

Hey Kirk, Are you referring to the small pee tube under the tank? There probably hasn¡¯t been a line attached to it in decades (if ever), but I don¡¯t smell any fuel or see any fuel stains below it

Check that the tank is venting properly. Ride with the fuel cap loose and see what happens. This happened to me on my R69S. Jerry Hale
