Thanks for the really sweet suggestion of putting the temporary placemarker with ctrl + win + k at the beginning and jaws + space + m at the end. I just tried it in an Outlook email and it works there as well. And as in the situation Jean mentioned, it is entirely possible to do a ctrl + f search to find your endpoint, or F4 to search within an Outlook email, to save time. The F8 extended selection in Word would work OK for sighted people scanning the file with their eyes to drop the endpoint marker, but when I tried doing a ctrl + f search after F8, once you eject out of the search the F8 feature seems to cancel out. So the methods mentioned in this thread definitely seem like the way to go for us. Michael -----Original Message-----

message width problem in Outlook 2016
Hi all, I am new to the group and here's a question. I am totally blind and
use Jaws 2020. I recently switched from a computer with Windows 7 and Office 2013 to one with Windows 10 and Office 2016. People are reporting to me that the Outlook emails I send them are suddenly now very narrow, maybe taking up only about two thirds the width of their screen, while before when I was using Outlook 2013 they looked normal width. In my Outlook options compose mail settings area it has a width set at 76 characters which must be the default line width and when I looked this up on the internet if anything this is a bit wider than what's recommended. If I count over 76 characters it is admittedly only about two thirds of a computer screen (while if you count a normal screen width display it's something over 100 characters) but I assume each recipient's computer is supposed to wrap the words according to their screen setup but for some reason that's not happening when they receive my emails in particular. When I forward a received email from someone else, that does appear normal line width to others, so have I done something wrong in my compose mail settings? Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Re: selecting data in word 2016 using NVDA (Jaws as back-up)
开云体育Here is something else: ? 1. Quick Highlighting and Copying: The NVDA build-in marking feature enhances easy highlighting of block of text, and swift fetching same text. This is useful in word processing and HTML document environment. Turn browse mode on by pressing nvda key and space bar.? You will hear a high pitch beep. You only need to mark the beginning and the end of what to be highlighted rather than holding down the SHIFT key and continually pressing the navigation keys before initiating copying with CONTROL+C and the likes. Just mark the beginning of the block of text with the keystroke NVDA+F9, then you can use nvda control f to find the text you want or proceed with your reading normally to where you want the selection to end, and press the keystroke NVDA+F10. This highlights the block of text, and with this you may delete, cut, copy to the clip board? or make any change to the highlighted portion. The coolest aspect is that; having marked the beginning of the block of text with NVDA+F9, if the keystroke NVDA+F10 is pressed twice quickly, the block of text will be copied to the clipboard instantly. ? ? ? Any advice on doing the message rules? Like I stated in my letter. I like the one column where you down arrow to where the to and cc contained people. That way it looks at both the to and cc fields when the letter comes in. One other area. It looks like my signature isn't working, but that's small potatoes. Many thanks for the help.
