I haven't got Outlook 2016 in front of me, but in Outlook 365, it's in the File ribbon, Info tab:? Press alt+f, the focus starts on Info, so press TAB twice from there to "add account".

Hi Walter,
The easiest way is either Type 1 then either a full stop or right parenthesis ) and space, then type your first option OR Type * or - then a space then your first option.
When you press ENTER, Word will automatically create a numbered list or a bulleted list.
You can also press control+alt+l to start a bulleted list, or control+shift+l for a numbered list.
There is more information on lists in the Microsoft Word for NVDA training material from NV Access:?

Re: Outlook 365 & NVDA 2020.2 jumping around
Hi Jean,
The most common issue like that I can think of is for laptop users with a touch pad under the keyboard - if the touch pad is enabled (as it is by default), then if you move your wrist near it, it can often trigger the mouse to either move or click somewhere unintended.? There should be a way to disable it, but it varies from laptop to laptop.
Kind regards
Quentin.

Hello Ann: ? I am at a loss for why the comments would automatically close. What happens if, after you create this empty comment, the comment closes leaving you with the text still selected, and you press the application key and choose edit comment. Does it stay in the comment box then or does it close after a short period like when you created the comment? ? Rick ?

Thank you for all your suggestions.
Yes, I do select text before trying to insert a comment by using the Control+Shift and left or right aros. Jaws tells me what is selected.
My comments seem to be set to display in balloons.
A large part of my problem seems to be that the comment pane is disappearing way too fast, and without my having to press escape. It sometimes happens before i can even begin to type. For instance, I select text, press Control+Alt+m, and Jaws tells me I'm inserting a comment. Then, often? within a very few seconds, perhaps two or less, the pane disappears and I'm put back in the main body of the document, and a blank comment was inserted and the comment i meant to type is placed to the right of what I selected.
Any ideas?

In NVDA when I press one of these shortcut sequences, NVDA speaks my name followed by "comment, edit level 1." This lets me know that I am in the comment area and what I type ends up in the comment. Then, by pressing ESC, I am returned to the document for editing.
In JAWS, after issuing the insert comment shortcut, JAWS speaks "Inserting comment 0 by ()." Again, I am alerted that I am in a comment for editing.
What happens if you ignore the shortcuts and actually use the ribbon by selecting Alt+R and tabbing to the insert comment button and then pressing the button? If you do this, does it indicate whether this button is enabled or disabled?
How is your version of Word set to display comments? Press Alt+R followed by t and then m to open the show markup dialog to see how comments are displayed. I have mine to display in balloons.

Hi folks,
I'm using the latest Jaws2020, Windows10, and Microsoft Word Subscription Version 16.0.13127.20292
Each time i try and enter a comment in a Word document using either the Jaws keyboard shortcut Control+Alt+m or the Review ribbon and Microsoft Accelerator keys, the comment itself is blank, but it's text ends up inserted as part of the main body. Anyone know what's going on and how to fix this?
It shouldn't be a matter of permission as these are my own documents that I created.
Thanks for any advice,

Re: Questions about outlook 365
Hi, ? Thanks for that, that resolved the sending email issue. Yeah the delete works in the table view which has the list of messages but when I open a specific message, delete no longer works, is there any way to change this? Also when I was using outlook express and windows live mail I could press tab once to get to the preview of messages (but it read the whole message,) press delete and instantly move to the next message and begin reading it. can you do this in outlook? I don¡¯t like the fact that I have to do ctrlD and then it deletes that message but it doesn¡¯t open the next message and start reading it, it just sits there until I press enter! ?

Hello Ann:
First, the shortcut Control+Alt+m is not a JAWS shortcut but is from word.
Are you selecting text before issuing these shortcut keys so that your comment will be associated with some text in the document?
Rick

Walter,
Unlike MS Word, you once you see the suggestion or arrow to what your looking for, press the tab key until you reach the "Change or Change All" button. If you have multiple instances of the word you need to correct you would use the "Change all" button. HTH

Re: tutorial on Microsoft word
I bought that Kingsbury book at the 2019 NFB convention and it's quite good.
I'm working on a Word and Excel 2016/2019 course for the company I just started a job at, Commtech USA. It should be out in October. It's good to know about all these other tutorials out; I do think mine will be organized a bit differently than those or the book. I have a course on JAWS out, which discusses Word for a few minutes.
