Hi, I have just recently converted my group from payed via my credit card to be payed by the group sponsorship function. This worked rather well, the members now nearly have 4 to 5 years of premium membership sponsored. I would like to display that somewhere. I know I can see that value as group admin in the billing section, but I think the members should be able to decide if more sponsorship is needed just before hitting the button. Is there anything I missed or is this a feature request? Thanks, Jens-Uwe

Hi everyone, we are experiencing a strange behavior, that started last week. We can't seem to approve messages anymore via email. We are receiving the notification to approve the messages, but once we reply, the message doesn't go through. Anyone has any ideas on what might cause this? Thank you!

Is there any way to require submission of a approval request prior to approve into a group?

Nesting Albums: Is there any way that you know of to 'nest' Photo Albums? I don't see anything in Help that addresses this. I don't really want to open my Photos tab to look through 50 'Albums' to find one, or two, or five that are of the same genre, but different - like "Reunion Pictures 2022, Reunion Pictures 2023, Reunion Pictures 2024" mixed in with "trucks" and "cars", etc. I want to be able to create a "Special Teams" Album (and others) with Sub-Albums: HazMat, Dive/Swiftwater/Inlet Rescue, High-Angle, Wildland-Urban Interface Fire, etc. Is there any way of classifying the pics or categorizing them into homogeneous groups within a single Album? * Sorting/Fixing (anchoring) the location/sort order of Albums: Another, complementary item is how to 'Organize' the Photo Albums. I don't see any way to 'fix their position' in the index. "Emailed Photos" is "always the first Album", but I want to organize the folders in a Numerical/Alphabetical way, and have them stay that way - yet be able to insert a new Album into the mix at a specific location in the view. The provided Sort params do not meet my needs. I want to Lock them in a specific order. https://afdretirees.groups.io/g/main/photos - i.e. I do NOT want (the) Station 10 Album to sort in front of Stations 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. I also don't really want to use a naming convention like Station 01,02, etc. Also, for example, I want the Shop, and Dispatch Album after all of the Stations. These are currently in here in a random order, not consistent with the order I created them. Thanks for the use of your brain cells.

When photos are attached, I know they get put in the "Emailed Photos" album in Photos. What happens to PDF files? I can't locate them anywhere, can I'd like to see it put into FIles somewhere? I run a very small private group and was not active for several months while I was in the nursing home with two broken arms. I come back to make a post on the forum, and it will not post it until it is approved by the administrator. Hey, thats me, but the administrative controls are missing from the forum, and I never did set it up to ask for approvals and so that is strange too. I have also had email problems, a service that I was using also expired while I was in the nuirsing home, and all of my "broadwaylion.com" services went down as well. Perhaps the forum tried to check my email and got rejected. I really do want to find a way to get back in again as administrator, or at this point even as a user. Thanks, for your help. Elias

Want new owner to approve new members. I am current owner but will retire. Manual no help

I am the owner of a group with about 180 members. Checking to resolve or purge address that are bouncing. I see that there are 10 addresses marked as bouncing and all of them are at nycap.rr.com (Spectrum Communication/ Time Warner Cable) Checking to see if there are nycap.rr.com address that are not bouncing, I see three of them. What should be done for the bouncers?

I have tried a couple of times to initiate the chat room feature but to no avail. My members seem happy with the messages area. I can see a use for the chat room if I can change the "title" of the feature on our LH Menu to say "sale room". I think our group could use the chat room as a sale room for various things associated with what we do together. Does any facility exist to change the title of a feature within the groups IO platform ? barry.

Hi, I am the owner of a group with over a thousand members. I set it so members can sponsor and there is $404 in reserve. Despite this, I just got a notice that the group was downgraded because the $220 fee was not paid. I sent multiple emails to [email protected] and have not received any response. When I go into the group the only option seems to be for me to enter a credit card to pay the invoice, which I do not want to do, even temporarily, as it states everywhere that payments are non-refundable. Does anyone know how to pay an invoice from the reserve?

I don't see a way to crop the photos I have to size them to fit the banner shape for the photo on the Home page. Are there any tips on how to fill the space for the cover photo? Thank you, Kristin

Hi I run 2 card swapping groups and we sign up to swap cards each month. In 1 group when I did partner's 1 lady said she didn't have a partner and name not in database, she was sure had signed up and made her cards but thought maybe hadn't. The same thing happened again this month but she's sure signed up because she did it straight away due to problem month before. Any idea why she and only she dissappearing? Thanks

11/14/24. I am the owner for a 60+ member group that has been operating for several years. I now have a member trying to login to our group via their cell phone which requires 2-factor authentication for all sites they log into. When they try to login to our G.io site he is directed to enter the generated access code - but no code is being generated. They then try to enter the "general codes" provided when no code is generated. None of these codes work. How do we resolve? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide!

I’m the owner of 2 legacy premium groups, RockridgeNeighborhoodWatchNetwork (745 members) and RockridgeNCPC (251 members). They were once Yahoo groups; I moved them over when Yahoo died. I’ve been sending 2 emails about 3 times a month, without issue, since we moved to Groups.io. Last month I sent out the meeting minutes, and both my copies (sent to me) of the messages bounced with this message: mx02.earthlink-vadesecure.net: 550 5.7.1 Connection refused - [45.79.224.7] blocked by Vade Threat List - ELNK001_101 - https://postmaster-earthlink.vadesecure.com/inbound_error_codes/#_101 Today I sent out (separately) an email of crime statistics to both lists, and they both bounced to me. It looks like everyone on an Earthlink domain has been blocked by this <deleted expletive> threat list. I’ve talked to Earthlink (which owns my domain mindspring.com) and was basically told “don’t send all that at once.” These emails are all sent because local persons interested in crime in our neighborhood have ASKED for them. I realize this is primarily a problem with my ISP, but is there anything anyone at Groups.io can do to get the site off the Vade Threat List?? I have just added the Sponsorship feature to one of my groups. I have read the HELP section about this feature and I see that 100% of the sponsorship amount gets applied to my group's upkeep. I am wondering how Paypal treats the sponsorship amount if a member chooses to use Paypal. Is it treated like a purchase, with a fee charged to the receiver (IO Groups), or does Paypal take a cut if the sponsoring member uses their credit card linked to Paypal to pay? I'd like to be able to inform my members how that works if they use Paypal. Annick Phillips
