Re: rumor control [Groups.io is not Yahoo Groups]
I made a second account for myself some time back with a Yahoo email address, so I could see what a regular member sees on my group. What I noticed is I used to get Groups.io email in that second account on Yahoo, but for some time now I don't get anything from G in that Yahoo account. What I wonder is if any of my members are experiencing the same thing.

Force HTML set, and I REALLY want to get the HTML style footer on allIt won't if you also have Plain Text only set. I was wrong about that. I have sent HTML from Thunderbird and text from Thunderbird but noneAbsent Plain Text Only, it is supposed to convert the incoming message to HTML, causing the HTML footer to be appended. My emails are set inwards as Viewed Always in HTML.But what are you actually receiving? Have you looked at the message source of any of these messages? It would appear to be a Thunderbird-created situation and in view ofPresumably you see your own messages here with the HTML footer, just as you saw Chris Jones', right? (message #35101) So it isn't a Thunderbird thing, at least not on the receiving side. And you demonstrate with each of your messages posted here that you can send messages in HTML style. I've been using Thunderbird in all of my Groups.io groups for about six years now, and I have never seen the problem you describe. Messages here in GMF arrive with one footer or the other, depending on how they were sent, just as they are supposed to. In my test group I just tried having Force HTML checked but not Plain Text. I posted a text/plain message, and got it back with both text/plain and text/HTML message bodies. Displaying the text/HTML message body in Thunderbird did indeed show the formatted footer. And in Thunderbird selecting View | Message body as | Plain text for that very same message did indeed show me the plain text footer. So I think you still have a fundamental misunderstanding or misinterpretation somewhere in how you are performing your tests. I must be doing something wrong. I did an export of group data (photos). I got an email with a link to the zip file. I unzipped the file and got files and .json. I created a photo album in the new group. I tried to do an add a file from the unzipped files to the new album It tells me, "
Invalid type for file "Coop Grain Storage". Only "image" files are supported.". |

<Any truth to the rumor that [our group] is going away at the end ofOne of my classmates, in my high-school classmates group, posted a few weeks ago citing the Yahoo Groups shutdown and asking what we should do about our group. He apparently hadn't noticed, or forgot, that our group had transferred to Groups.io about three years prior. I can't blame him. The transfer was seamless as far as an email-only member was concerned. One day he was receiving messages via our Yahoo Group, the next via our Groups.io group, with no action required on his part. I sent out notices, of course, before and after the transfer, but I can easily imagine that those could go unnoticed or be forgotten.
