Within the editor, place your text cursor somewhere in the link, then click the "Insert/edit link" icon on the menu bar:

In the resulting dialog box, edit as needed and save.

The easiest way is to delete the link, including the spaces before and after.? The when you type in the new one, everything is changed at once.

Malcolm, thank you. I suspected the problem resulted from the name change.

I¡¯m, obviously, new to this.

I¡¯ve been able to change the message prefix, but don¡¯t know how to change the link targets. I¡¯ll check with someone better versed than I.

Meanwhile, your help is greatly appreciated.

Me again Leah. In my haste to get that last message off before I went out, I failed to mention that you still have the message prefix for the group set to [RWOpera].

You changed the welcome message to say (this is just one line of it, of course):

You can visit your group, start reading messages and posting them here:?/g/OperaRW?

BUT you only changed the visible text, the link is still the original --?/g/RWOpera

?

You have to change the link target as well as the visible text. Ditto with the 'editsub' link further down the welcome message.

Since you use gmail, which is part of Google, perhaps the "leak" is there? Just a thought.

I load all the trainings for my group the month before they happen onto the calendar and set a 2 day Reminder. This has worked just fine for months. Today a some (but not all) of the events appeared that I had just inputted went out to the members of my group - weeks ahead of time. The odd thing was that they weren¡¯t sent by Groups.io (as far as I could see) but by Google wanting to know if we wanted to put these on the Google calendar.

Can Google Hijack Group.io like that?

Sure, but mail clients vary, when you click on what is in the email below some clients will and some won't include the trailing double quote in the URL.

I did a search of "APTA." As best I can tell, none of the 7 groups I found is Premium, but some of them are legacy Basic. Of those, only the Montana group at has subgroups.
?
The group aptaacutecareeducatorrehab was created later - on 08/16/22 - so it is not legacy Basic, and is subject to the current pricing structure (i.e.: no more than 100 members unless paid).
?
By "legacy", I mean that older groups have been grandfathered with features that newly-started groups do not have (without paying).?

All of the other groups have more than 100 members.
Well, not all of them, but some.

Is there information about adding additional groups that I could review?
Any new groups will be subject to the new pricing structure, so simply adding more groups won't fix your problem at aptaacutecareeducatorrehab.
?
If you want to use one of your legacy groups and make all the others subgroups off that, everyone in the subgroup has to be in the main group, too. This often leads to subscription management difficulties and misdirected posts and is probably not what you're looking for; although some people seem to make it work.
?
Please also note that there is no provision to migrate one of your existing groups to a subgroup. You would be starting from scratch.
?
Regards,
Bruce
?
[ADDED NOTE: Checking more thoroughly, only the Montana group is old enough to have legacy subgroups (before 1/15/2020). You won't be able to add subgroups to any of the others without paying.]

It looks like it's a free group, which means it's limited to 100 members. To add more you would have to upgrade to a paid group, or remove some existing members.
