Duane,
I really got tired of dealing with this issue so now we do not accept Aplles's emails and have posted this on our main page: Your email:?I regret to inform you that if you have an Apple email (@icloud.com, @me.com, and @mac.com) your application will not be approved because Apple rejects emails from our groups.io server.? -- Best,

Re: How to send a pdf automatically to my group each month
We were thrilled when groups.io appeared, and we moved several large groups dating from 2000, to groups.io from yahoo groups. We also poked quite a few groups we weren't the owner/mod of, to encourage them to also move their groups to groups.io, and quite a few did, and they are nearly all quite happy with groups.io. Looking at the group owners' manual, isn't asking the moon, and it's great that they HAVE a group owners' manual! We were first doing groups before yahoo groups existed, Mark Fletcher had created groups and then yahoo subsumed them. IMNSHO, groups.io is the best alternative to yahoo groups, that exists -- and I am very grateful to Mark for creating it! And it's not perfect, but neither are we.? Gesine |

But I'm not aware of sending any spam.? I don't even remember reporting someone else's spam but I might have. Many email apps, for some reason, place the Delete and Spam/Junk buttons right next to each other, it's easy to accidentally hit the wrong one, I've done that before, but most likely the ISP did it.? One suggestion, you should check your spam/junk folder maybe once a week and if you see any messages from groups.io in there mark them as not-spam/junk, and if this doesn't move them to the inbox, do it manually.? That should help train the filter to not put them there.? Also add groups.io or actual group address in your Safe Sender List or whitelist, that can also help. The other owner has now reinvited me and will soon make me an owner again. You already have another/backup owner so you're already ahead on this, but you can also add another email address of yours as another owner for your own immediately-available backdoor to the group when things go wrong. Hey, my doctor was also slow. When I Brian open my mail program first thing in the morning, I don't get my Yahoo! Mail for like about an hour.

A person must belong to the main group in order to belong to a subgroup? I've checked the group settings and Visibility *is* set to being visible within the parent group (which is probably a clue right there but I don't know where to take it), but it's still not listed in the email groups page.If the subgroup setting is to be visible within the main group then you will find it under the Subgroups option on the left-side menu.? ?Is there any way I can get our groups to display in a "Tree" format, as is used in file management??? I'm not able to get any sense of which is the parent group, and what subgroups depend from that parent group, and which sub-subgroups depend from those sub groups.? If I could see something like that I think I'd have a better idea of what might be going on.It would be a very small tree. A main group can have subgroups but a subgroup cannot have another subgroup within that.? If your left-side menu has a Subgroups option then that's the main group. That option will show you which subgroups you belong to and which ones you can join - based upon your subgroup visibility settings. Regards Andy |

Invisible Group?
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Folks,A new group was created within LifeRing, dealing with our literature, and many people seem to be having issues finding and joining it.? We post the link to the new group so people can sign up, and apparently some of us get right to the site and join with no issues, others have a new email opened up and pre-addressed to the new group, and still others get sent to the main LifeRing email groups page, where the new group is not listed. I've checked the group settings and Visibility *is* set to being visible within the parent group (which is probably a clue right there but I don't know where to take it), but it's still not listed in the email groups page.? I have admin permissions for this group, so everything I can think of to check takes me straight to that group, and I can't duplicate the issues anyone is having. Trolling for ideas as to what I might be looking for, which settings to check, to see if I can get the group to show in the listing, and I'm also wondering if different people getting different results from the same link might be due to some browser settings, or from using different browsers? Is there any way I can get our groups to display in a "Tree" format, as is used in file management??? I'm not able to get any sense of which is the parent group, and what subgroups depend from that parent group, and which sub-subgroups depend from those sub groups.? If I could see something like that I think I'd have a better idea of what might be going on. Much appreciated! |

Re: removed for reporting spam
If you report a message from as spam, but were to continue sending you email, then your email provider might decide that is a spammer and block it for all of their customers. (If you didn't actually mark any messages as spam but your email provider did it on your behalf, that is just them being difficult.)
