I now see this in my activity from July 16:

I don't see this for my soon to disappear email, waterhorse@..., but my waterhorse@... login still doesn't show me as a member of tucsonfluteclub .

How can this be fixed?

Why would I be removed from a group for reporting spam?

It sounds like you have two logins if you can see all your other groups.
You can merge your logins.

Or you left or were removed from the flute club group. Can you ask another owner / moderator to look at activity?

BTW, if you were the only owner of the group, you cannot leave the group. The system doesn't allow that.

I get the same result with my other login which is from an email address which will soon not be useable.

I have asked another member/moderator to see what they can do and haven't heard back yet.

It sounds like you have two logins if you can see all your other groups.

For security reasons, there is a general trend towards emailing links rather than attachments so perhaps Groups.io is no different in this respect. How many organisations do you deal with these days that email documents? An awful lot give you a link to their portal so you can download them yourself.? We have been using groups.io since yahoo closed but it has doubled communication management time since we have to send those monthly documents by hand in an email attachment. And, we also have to send our monthly events in individual emails to get the rsvp to the right person.?

It sounds like you are just not familiar with some Groups.io features and doing a whole load of work that's not necessary. I'd recommend investing a little time in understanding Groups.io which will save you lots of time in the future.?

It's just too much trouble to have to log in to groups.io to see the RSVPs.

As I mentioned above, once you are logged in, the login cookie is valid for an initial 30 days. if you look at something on the site, that 30 day timer gets reset and starts again.? I can't remember the last time I used my email/password to actually login to the site.

We are just very disappointed in groups.io.

That seems to be an unrealistic expectation. Can you think of any relatively new application that works the same as something did a couple of decades ago?

It seems straight forward to me.? if it's not an all-day event, I uncheck the box and get the option to enter start and end times. The alternative would be show start and end times and have a box to check that indicates an all-day event.? Showing all fields at the outset means the screens can look busier than needed. Your use of the term 'fixes' suggests you think something is wrong whereas it may be by design.?? If you have a suggestion for a change that you think may benefit other users then you can always post that on the official suggestions group called .

Premium groups can upload a file to the Files area and your Member Notice can provide a link to it. Or simply host it off-site (Google Drive or whatever) and link to that.

No, there's not.? It's easy enough to create a Member Notice of type Monthly Reminder that will automatically be sent, but not in PDF format.? If you have to have PDF format, you'll need to create a message and attach the file manually every time.

But...
This is a forum for 100+ men who are mostly in their 60's+.
I can't have posts that aren't related to our calendar of events or special announcements be allowed. Only the membership chair and owners need to see posts from people who want to join, so that we can review first.

I tried to join Jim’s group, just to get a message to other group owners or moderators about Jim’s predicament. Still showing as application in process, so I assume the answer is that they have noone else to help manage. Once again I am very grateful to members of this group for their continuing advisement over time to have some backups in group ownership and management. And to read the manual thoroughly before making any changes. I also am not trying to be snarky; was trying to help Jim out by going in through another route.

I tried this with a trial group that I set up. Since I used an email address that is not a member, I got this back from groups.io, without it getting through to the owner (me):

510 5.1.1 Your email address,[...@gmail.com], is not subscribed to that group. To subscribe, send an email to?[...]+subscribe@groups.io, or visit?/g/[trialgroup]

Yes, because you have the "Allow non-members to post" setting to OFF.? See more here:
