Re: How do I set up a periodic message to a group?
Bob, I haven't tested it, but I think that's right. If you would want all calendar events to go as special notices I think you could set that attribute on the #cal-reminder hashtag. But you may not

Re: How do I set up a periodic message to a group?
Paul, Sure, you can put a link in the event's Description. The question then is where you host the file. If it is in the group's Files section then members must be logged in to access the file. Shal

Re: How do I set up a periodic message to a group?
Thanks everyone for the place to go for the repeating announcement. I had never thought of the calendar as we've never used it in YG!. I'll look into this another day as I sent out the message

Re: How do I set up a periodic message to a group?
Shal, Since message delivery is part of a calendar is there (somewhere) a list or, better yet a matrix of exactly who would receive calendar event notifications? e.g., would it go to * all members, *

Re: How do I set up a periodic message to a group?
Donald, In Groups.io you would do this with a repeating event in the calendar. Much more flexible delivery schedule than the scheduled files approach of Yahoo Groups. The key feature missing from that

Re: How do I set up a periodic message to a group?
Hi, One way (and this seems to be the most common one) is to create a periodic event in Calendar that specifies messages to be sent (as the body of the appointment) on a regular basis. Cheers, Joseph

Link to a file embedded in email?
I use an automated email service in addition to groups.io. ?In my messages, I provide a link to a schedule for upcoming meetings that the members must be able to access, preferably with a click.
