I can agree with what you said about edge. I switched to using it when I first got windows 10 because chrome had not yet caught up with 10. now I think they have worked out some of their problems with 10 and many programs that didn't used to work now work just fine and even better under 10 than edge does. I also find that edge does not like to remember cookies on certain sites that I go to all the time.
as to trying to download the pdf anyway and having it work it was a blank page. even the single page document came up that way.

Edge is just plain not yet ready for prime time. Anyone having a problem
while using Edge probably should try another browser before looking elsewhere
for the cause of the problem.
