The Four Top Offenders!
We get a lot of #WANTED requests with WAY more info than is needed to describe the items.? So much that we long ago adopted a ZERO TOLERANCE for ANY added background stories.
- Wanted posts with TMI!
- Wanted posts with a story that does not help describe the item itself!
- Need clothes for your son?? a niece?? - Give sizes and gender, NOT relationships!
- Need a wheelchair for a visiting Aunt that is 90 years old?? - Just say? you need a wheelchair!
- Bottom Line, don't say why its needed or for whom except in ways that describe the item more fully:
- Wanted, Clothes for 7 year old boy, or nine month old girl...
- Wanted? Wheelchair Needed in two weeks? (and PLEASE don't ask to borrow one!)
- Wanted posts with a story that does not help describe the item itself!
- Replies to the group or the moderator for an OFFER:
- Please do not use the ¡°reply all¡± option in regular Email, and never use the "reply to group" button. (this last should not be possible in this new group forum)
- This is a chronic problem with "Smart Phone"? users, so please be careful.
- Please do not use the ¡°reply all¡± option in regular Email, and never use the "reply to group" button. (this last should not be possible in this new group forum)
- Subject Line issues:
- This should have been minimized in this new group with the Hashtag subject topic enforced, however,? we are getting a LOT or subject lines with the Topic front and rear,? (Offer item #offer... )?? It needs to be #Offer Item ONLY.
- Leaving the items out of the subject line is also common.
- Wish Lists
- Making a WANTED request with unrelated items, or unreasonably over generalized requests:
- Examples of Disapproved Requests:
- #WANTED ? Lawn mower, Twin bed, & Laptop?? - Unrelated Items
- #WANTED ? Living room Furniture? - Too general
- #WANTED ? Office Supplies - Too vague
- Examples of approved related Items
- #WANTED? Baby Clothes
- #WANTED ? Sofa and Loveseat
- #WANTED ? Kitchen Table and Chairs
We try to be reasonable about this, please do the same.
