Its a New World!

Well, it's a new Group infrastructure.? So what do you need to know about the New Fremont Freecycle of California group and its impact to your posts?? Actually very little has changed!? Here is what you need to know or do:

• The new Email Address - If you post via Email Send them to: [email protected]
• Hashtags! - Now you need to add "#" in front of "OFFER"? with no spaces;? For example #OFFER, or #TAKEN.
  • Emails without this will be auto rejected - It's built into the new system.
  • ONLY; #OFFER ?? #TAKEN ? #WANTED ? and #Received ? are available for regular posting.
    • Having issues with bounced posts?? Do not add a colon or other character to the end of the hashtag!? Use a space so it stands alone. #OFFER:? is not a recognizable Hashtag with the Colon.
      
    • NO,? we DO NOT accept a hash tag at each end of the of the subject line!?

• • In addition a special #ModMsg Hashtag is available for contacting the Mods via a post.?
    • This is intended for things like Suggestions.
    • Ordinarily you can post to the owner Email to contact the mods:? [email protected]
  • Another is for reporting problems; #ReportThis.
• You can still post from the group home page; Look for "New Topic" on the left command bar.
  • If you start with the Hashtag pull down menu in the new post, its a button click..
• PICTURES!? - you can post pics in the posts now!

There really isn't a lot more!? Posting rules are essentially the same except for the above, even though we re-vamped them a bit and added more guidance, So get posting!
