Re: Red wine and breast cancer?
Yes, I would like to know as well if anyone knows more about red wine
and breast cancer. Many divergent results. I love wine but I am always on the fence: Should I, shouldn't I? Which is it? Martine Melissa wrote: Hey y'all, mine was one of the posts that got lost incyberspace. ;) Anyway, I have read that postmenopausal women who drink even 1/2 glass of red wine per night have a 60% greater risk of breast cancer. Well, I have already had that and I have nobreasts anymore ... LOL Anyway, I have been drinking 1 glass per night, of organic red wine(which I have to drive 45 minutes to find ... aaarghhhh!). Since i'm doing Budwig, do you all think this is OK in light of that research? And no, I'm not scared or fretting ... just curious ... and drinking a glass right now! ;) ;) |
Re: ROOTS CANALS
Dear Rhoda:
I am not sure I understand your post. Could you clarify for me? Did your dentist think that your root canals caused your cancers? I have three. root canals ..............and wondering Thank you, Martine Rhoda Mead wrote: My cancer is a direct result of having root canals. I had both teethwith them extracted. I am excited about this BP! I started 3 days ago.
Hello Sandra, I am excited about this BP protocol! I just started
it 3 days ago. Seems like soooooo much food and the fo/cc is delicious. I can do this! I haven't done the sauerkraut yet, wouldn't even know how it is supposed to taste, but I'll give it a try soon. I am 48 years old and was diagnosed with a rare cancer, Mucinous Adeno Carcinoma of the Appendix. I had metastis to the abdomen and had a hemicolectomy, appendix, ovaries, fallopian tube, uterus, omentum, lymph nodes, left and right perritoneum and old trocar site removed. Completed chemotherapy at the end of June. I am feeling very well, am at peace with my situation, thanks to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am anemic and have been taking Slo Fe tablets, but feel ready to stop taking them while on this protocol. I read your emails daily and find them very informative and inspirational. So glad to be here! I get a cat scan tomorrow and a pet scan on Thursday, to see if chemo was effective. What is PSA? Esther "Sandra Olson" wrote: Yahoo has repaired the problem that we had on Saturday, so feelfree to send a message. Welcome to the 59 new members who joined our group in the lastweek. I hope each of you will read the Welcome Letter you received, the 'Introduction to the Budwig Protocol' that came to your emailSections which have excerpts from Dr. Budwig's books and a great deal of other informaton. After you have read through the documents you received, please send |

Peter R. also gave me a tip on how to make "Buckwheat Peter" J - a soup. Basically, cook the buckwheat by itself (boil water using 2X more water than grain, add the buckwheat & simmer covered on very low heat till all the water is absorbed- about 30 minutes). When the grain is done, in a separate pan, boil a little water (for one serving, I boil about 1 to 2 cups or so) and then throw in cut veggies- onions, spinach, carrots, kale, broccoli, etc. & cook only for a minute or two so the veggies are cooked but crisp). Put the buckwheat in a bowl, add some oleolux and spices - I like lots of paprika, some salt & pepper and maybe some garlic). Then add the water & veggies to the buckwheat to make a soup. It takes some tweaking to get the seasoning & amt of water right, but it is delicious and actually very simple to make. Rachael Melanie King <melanie@...> wrote: Thank you, Jan. Stress / Re: Lymph nodes
One of the best ways to deal with stress is with meditation. Meditation is easy if you use a prerecorded CD. Centerpoint is one supplier. Check out Ask Dr Stoll web site and search the archives for stress. It worked for me.
> Martine wrote: ...devloped BC in 2003 and 2006 - my oncologists see this as a depressed immune system which can not fight off cancer...Looking back, I think my cancers were brought on by humongous amounts of stress over the course of many years which totally depleted my body of defense mechanisms. It probably is quite more complicated than this; however, stress is what I am trying to minimize with great difficulty. |
Re: Stress / Re: Lymph nodes
I have some fantastic cds on healing and relaxation from a relatively famous
healer. If anyone can advise me how to download them, via these mails. I have tried in the past, unsuccessfully. Unless, I download them onto Limewire? Is that the only way? The healing one, for me was absolutely fantastic, and highlighted areas where I had issues. In my opinion, it bypassed what would have taken a couple of years worth of therapy!! Michele |
Re: Red wine and breast cancer?
There was a study re: the anti-oxidant properties of red wine.
The result showed that the polyphenol concentration increased in the wines from vineyards at higher altitudes, and were, therefore, more potent in their cancer fighting properties. I also found this website, which is a government source, which always makes me suspicious as to their motivations: _ () : "What have red wine studies found? The cell and animal studies of red wine have examined effects in several cancers including leukemia, skin, breast and prostate cancers. Scientists are studying resveratrol to learn more about its cancer preventive activities. Recent evidence from animal studies suggests this anti-inflammatory compound may be an effective chemopreventive agent in three stages of the cancer process: initiation, promotion and progression. Research studies published in the International Journal of Cancer show that drinking a glass of red wine a day may cut a man's risk of prostate cancer in half and that the protective effect appears to be strongest against the most aggressive forms of the disease. It was also seen that men who consumed four or more 4-ounce glasses of red wine per week have a 60 percent lower incidence of the more aggressive types of prostate cancer." In my opinion, and that's all it is, I would not use this as a part of my 'medicine'. But as a treat, when I felt like it, rather than a daily ritual. Otherwise, good food and wine, which to me is one of life's pleasures, would just seem a drudge. Michele |
Re: question re: kraut
Rhoda,
If I let it go 3 weeks, does it still have an optimal amount of good bacteria? Is the count higher at the 5 days? Thanks, Jan "Rhoda Mead" <firefly541@...> wrote: four or five days, and the traditional three weeks gives the cabbage itstexture. I just use a gallon jar with a lid, no special top. I make mine without salt at times. Still takes about five days, taste is
about the same. I am guessing that the fermentation is complete in four or five days, and the traditional three weeks gives the cabbage its texture. I just use a gallon jar with a lid, no special top. I did get one, but it was so small, I'd be making anew batch every day. Rhoda |

My cancer is a direct result of having root canals. I had both teeth with
them extracted. One stank, and the other had a pus-filled cyst beneath it. However, the biological dentist wiho did the extractions thought that they cause cancer is a small minority of root canals. Rhoda |
Re: WHY More pain at night????
iricheka
Do you do coffee enemas? Unless the pain is caused by the
pressure of the tumor (which is an unbearable kind of pain) it's probably due to the release of toxins by the tumor cells, which are the byproduct of their metabolism. For some reason it usually takes place at night, I've observed the same thing with myself. I've also noticed that intake of food closer to bedtime really instigates the pain. It would be best to stop eating around 4 or 6 pm. I haven't done so myself yet for lack of discipline, but it would help I'm sure. You wrote: We are approaching over 3 months on the BP for my mother-in-lawMary, who has primary liver cancer and the tumors are very large at this point. As of late she has been having a lot of pain at night. So much that she is unable to sleep. During the day, she seems ok and doesn't complain about pain. The pain came on suddenly as she had just had several "good days". We are doing everything....castor oil compresses, eldi oil enemas and following the protocol to the letter. We don't know what else to do and we don't know why she is having so much pain at night............. |
Re: buckwheat
Melanie,
Try this buckwheat cereal. My 5 year old loves it. Can add or adjust to your own taste. Buckwheat Cereal 2 c. groats 1 apple, chopped 2 tbsp sunflower seeds (can grind these if like) 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tbsp. ground flaxseeds Boil 2 cups of water. Add groats. Boil, stirring once. Add next 3 ingredients. Turn heat to low and cook uncovered 20 minutes till grain is cooked. May need to add more water as groats cook. Top w/ flaxseeds. Blessings, Jan "Melanie King" <melanie@...> wrote: them, but they just don't taste good to me. I know that they can be used in all kinds of fancy recipes, but how do some of you eat them when you just want a bowl of groats? Do you flavor them with something? Mine just had salt, but I wouldn't say they tasted particularly good.

a few suggestions: Don't eat heavily in the evening Take some digestive enzymes w/ meals Try sleeping in a reliner If the liver is swollen it could press on a "pulsating vein" or could prevent urine from passing from the kidney to the liver when lying down. I know there are many other possibilities. Praying you'll discover the answer soon, Jan

Re: Fear of doing the Budwig Diet only.
Rhoda Mead
Hi Peter and Janice, I am so glad that you both found a path that works for
you, not telling others either that you have cancer, or that you are doing BP. In my own life, it was unnecessary. Friends are self-selected to know that I walk to a different drummer in general. Family just knows how eccentric I am. No that all can see that I'm in glowing health, they want in. Rhoda |
