Re: Problem - can't eat that much food

Coffee has many benefits, not sure what water would do. I don't know if it was just coincidence or the protocol slowly working, but the headache I had been suffering for over a year 24/7 vanished a few weeks after I started the coffee enemas. I started coffee enemas about 6 months into the journey.

A lot of information about coffee enemas ^^^

Re: Problem - can't eat that much food

Hi, Irina. I don't think it is possible to eat all the foods. I eventually dropped the lunch salad and only made juice for lunch, myself. I didn't try to eat beans every day. I had soup for evening dinner twice a week, and in the soup I added beans or lentils. On the other days that I ate cooked food it was a varied combination of beets, asparagus, green beans, mushrooms, peppers, etc over quinoa or brown rice with oleolux. On alternating days I ate raw cruciferous veggies, dipping them in a "dressing" made from flax oil, olive oil, pumpkinseed oil and ACV. On those days I also included raw organic almonds for protein.

The FO/CC twice a day is important. Work everything else around that, as much as you are comfortable with.

Hello everyone,

I have recently realized that I can not eat all the foods advised because it is too much for me. I am small and used to eating only twice a day with 1350 calories. 1500 calories is my maximum for the holiday season.
Since starting Budwig I realised that I need to eat 3 times a day otherwise I can not fit in all the required foods (lentils, beans, salads, juices, etc). Budwig mix one portion is about 700 calories. If I eat it twice a day as nesessary I get about 1400-1500 calories already. I try to not add much fruit to it to decrease calories but still due to oil it is very high calory. If I add juices and other foods it is 2000 calories which is way above what I am used to or can tolerate. To me it is a struggle to have dinner, normally I am so full by the end of the day that I have no desire for foods. I have gained 2 kg since starting Budwig protocol which is ok but if I keep eating 3 times a day my weight is going to go up even more, which is not good. I can't do sports due to health now I just walk on most days but it is not enough for such a calory intake to keep the weight at my normal level. Not sure how to solve this. How can you eat that much food (I know we do not have to eat all listed foods by Sandra in one day)? I just feel like taking Budwig mix twice a day + salad and juices is more than enough for me. But in this case I am not eating all the beans and lentils required for protein, iron, etc. Is there anyone else struggling to fit in all the foods and eating 3 times a day? How do solve this?

Thanks,
Irina

There are nations they feed their new born baby a small price of soft date first thing after birth to cleanse their body. Dates are full of nutrients. Yum.?

Re: Homemade Quark

Sounds okay.? Is the moisture content similar to cottage cheese or quark?? The acid test is to mix 40g FSO with 100g of your cheese and mix with an immersion blender or equivalent for a couple minutes.? If they combine, you're good!!

I do think your process is more complicated than it needs to be.? I mix about 100g yogurt with live cultures (Siggi's drinkable) with 2 litres of lowfat milk, put it in a yogurtmaker?at 100F, let it ferment for 10 hours, then strain.? The result is perfect for making fso/cc

How do I know if my homemade quark turned out successful with the right properties for the Budwig mix? I left it sitting on the kitchen counter for 24 hours, followed by 1/2 a day in the oven (first warmed to 50 degrees celsius then turned off). Do you think it still has the properties needed for the Budwig recipe??

Re: bananas & dates

Hi Irena,

Sorry for the delay in answering your questions. There is no problems regarding eating dates or bananas,

1. Dr. Budwig does mention including a banana in the FO/CC mixture ¡ at the bottom of page 15, in my book, which was published in English in 1994. As long as natural sugar is within fruit, it does not damage the body.
2. Dr. Budwig recommends dates, figs, and raisins whenever you¡¯re craving sweets. They have many healthy benefits. She names them at the bottom of page 9 in my book.

Kind regards,
Sandra Olson?

bananas & dates

Hi everyone,

What do you think aboout bananas and dates, are they ok on Budwig protocol or too much sugar (even though it is natural)? I do not have any blood sugar problems but still try not to it too much of sweet fruits having cancer.

1. I know Budwig had some recipes with bananas but not in FO/CC mix. Do you think it's ok to add bananas to it or better not?
2. Are dates ok to eat while drinking herbal teas? Just as a treat sometimes I crave something sweet and thought of dates but not sure if they are ok.

Thank you,
Irina

Re: amount of FOCC - sorry for this question

Shalom?Irina,
I am a little puzzled that it seems so difficult for you to mix the cheese with the oil.
"When I strictly use 100gr/ml it is hard to mix the oil in, it may take 5 min or moer to do that or it just does not mix in at all ..."
Are you mixing them by hand, or with an electric blender.? As most of us do, I use a hand held electric "wand" blender.? I used 3TBS (~42gm) oil and 6TBS (~90-100gm cheese).? Thus the ratio is?about 1::2.? Depending on the type of cheese, I might need to add a little liquid (skim milk, yogurt, lemon juice).? It never takes more than 1 minute to blend (at high speed).

I just now thought of something:? perhaps if you leave the cheese out of the refrigerator for a bit so that you will mix ROOM TEMPERATURE cheese with the oil, it might mix more easily.? I have not tested this, just thinking out loud.

I hope that this will help,

Rahel

Hi Rod,

Have you ever had trouble mixing CC with the oil?
When I strictly use 100gr/ml it is hard to mix the oil in, it may take 5 min or moer to do that or it just does not mix in at all and I have to add 10-20gr/ml of CC than it mixes perrfectly.
Lothar Hirneise who is the only student of Budwig and worked closely with her for 4 years says to use 100-125gr of CC. But then if I use 115-120gr I wonder about casein and IGf and all the bad things in animal protein.... To eat 200-230gr of CC a day is a lot of animal protein/dairy!

Thanks,
Irina

I don't know the answer, but there are quite a few testimonials on Sandra's site.

No, I hadn't had any trouble. What do you mix the FO and CC in? My original blender came with a plastic measuring cup that is just a little larger than the head of the blender. I think that helps in mixing.
