The software from RT is a bit more polished than CHIRP. I can't say it's better, but they do tweak it to work on more radios. I think their way of getting repeaters near you to fill up your memories

Tony Ross nailed it. ?This is the way to do it in Chirp. I was able to take the config file from my Baofeng BF-F8HP with 78 repeaters and a few PL’d simplex channels and copy it onto my Icom 2730

Quite easy ... open 2 tabs in chirp-next. In one tab, load the image file, in the 2nd tab, open the csv file. Then select everything in the csv file tab and paste it into the image tab, then upload

Problem solved! Instruction book MISSING PROGRAMMING ITEMS 12 & 13! #13is the TRANSMITTING CTCSS TONE! That's why the thing would not activate!
