Re: wireless Car Play adapter?
It’s possible to use a long cord and store the phone in the cup holder, but then you have a cord hanging around the gear shift and one cup holder is out of commission.
?
I just installed a wireless adapter which works well. ?As soon as I enter the car the iPhone hooks up automatically. ?This set up is fine in town, but the down side is the phone doesn’t charge like it does if it is hooked up with a cord. ?My 2021 Subaru Forester has two usb ports next to one another. ?I’m going to try attaching the iPhone to a short cord when going on a long trip so the GPS doesn’t drain it completely. ?Not sure if there will be interference between the wireless dongle and the plugged-in iPhone. ?We shall see.

Re: wireless Car Play adapter?
My CR-V (2018) supports Apple's CarPlay when using an iPhone plugged into a particular USB port. All the LuckyMore wireless CarPlay adapter is doing is wirelessly connecting my iPhone to the CR-V's display without me needing to plug in my iPhone to that USB port each time. The adapter gets plugged into that USB port. In my case it (the LuckyMore unit) just resides in the center console so I don't even see it.? Hope this helps. Mike? Mike, I am having trouble getting my brain around this. I looked at the device on Amazon and watched the video. ?First thing the gal said was to check to see if your vehicle supports wireless car play. So then I checked for your?2018 Honda CR-V, and got: ?Based on the information from the search results, your Honda 2016 CR-V does not support?wireless CarPlay.? Nonetheless, it works in your car. ? My question is if I got one of these and plugged it in, would the big screen which normally displays the GPS mapping, Sirius radio, etc., now be filled with a display that looks like the attached? Re: wireless Car Play adapter?
Hi, I purchased a Luckymore Wireless CarPlay adapter from Amazon for my 2018 Honda CR-V. It plugs into one of the two USB receptacles in the center console and seems to work great. It is inside the console so I don't even see it and it brings up CarPlay on my dash screen whenever I get into the car with my phone. I'm happy with it. I believe it was about $60. Re: wireless Car Play adapter?
开云体育I have an adapter I bought for a 1989 Chrysler TC by Maserati. It plugs into my iPhone through another adapter, since it doesn’t have an earphone jack, and also plugs into a cigar lighter (for power). It transmits an FM signal to a blank spot on the FM band. It has great range…it can be anywhere in the car, great signal. I bought it at Walmart. On Mar 15, 2024, at 9:44?AM, Cathy <devittad2@...> wrote:

I’ve read about wireless CarPlay adapters but am not sure how well they work. ?For instance, how close does the phone have to be for the connection to work? ?Is there serious latency in response? ?What about Apple Maps driving instructions? ?
?
If anyone has experience with this type of adapter I’d love to hear about your experience, positive and/or negative.

Re: Adding a language in 17.4
开云体育Brent,I searched for new features in iOS 17.4 and found it in many articles, such as: There is still only one main Siri language. The new iOS 17.4 “Messaging with Siri” setting languages are only used when reading messages that you receive in those other languages. ?Previously, when receiving a message in a different language, one had to switch Siri to that language first, read the message, and then switch back to one’s native language. The Podcasts app now has transcripts, with some foreign language support. ?Per Apple, “Transcripts let you follow an episode with text that highlights in sync with the audio in English, Spanish, French and German.” ? Re: Adding a language in 17.4
After a quick web search, all I can find are old articles about old versions of iOS and Beta versions understanding mixes of spoken (East) Indian dialects and English, as if they were a special dialect or language, but not as understanding two languages concurrently.

I found nothing current about understanding more than one spoken language at a time. Brent On my iPhone Xr On Mar 9, 2024, at 11:50, Bev in TX <countryone77@...> wrote: |
