Contacts are being created on my iPhone
Contacts are being created on my iPhone automatically. I suspect this is from emails I receive. I do not want these to be created. Is there anything I can do to stop it from happening?

It’s possible to use a long cord and store the phone in the cup holder, but then you have a cord hanging around the gear shift and one cup holder is out of commission.

I just installed a wireless adapter which works well. ?As soon as I enter the car the iPhone hooks up automatically. ?This set up is fine in town, but the down side is the phone doesn’t charge like it does if it is hooked up with a cord. ?My 2021 Subaru Forester has two usb ports next to one another. ?I’m going to try attaching the iPhone to a short cord when going on a long trip so the GPS doesn’t drain it completely. ?Not sure if there will be interference between the wireless dongle and the plugged-in iPhone. ?We shall see.

My CR-V (2018) supports Apple's CarPlay when using an iPhone plugged into a particular USB port. All the LuckyMore wireless CarPlay adapter is doing is wirelessly connecting my iPhone to the CR-V's display without me needing to plug in my iPhone to that USB port each time. The adapter gets plugged into that USB port. In my case it (the LuckyMore unit) just resides in the center console so I don't even see it.?

I purchased a Luckymore Wireless CarPlay adapter from Amazon for my 2018 Honda CR-V. It plugs into one of the two USB receptacles in the center console and seems to work great. It is inside the console so I don't even see it and it brings up CarPlay on my dash screen whenever I get into the car with my phone. I'm happy with it. I believe it was about $60.

I have an adapter I bought for a 1989 Chrysler TC by Maserati. It plugs into my iPhone through another adapter, since it doesn’t have an earphone jack, and also plugs into a cigar lighter (for power). It transmits an FM signal to a blank spot on the FM band. It has great range…it can be anywhere in the car, great signal. I bought it at Walmart.

Under that option it says, “Siri will also read messages using languages in this list. This will not change the primary language Siri listens to and responds in.”

I searched for new features in iOS 17.4 and found it in many articles, such as:
There is still only one main Siri language.
The new iOS 17.4 “Messaging with Siri” setting languages are only used when reading messages that you receive in those other languages. ?Previously, when receiving a message in a different language, one had to switch Siri to that language first, read the message, and then switch back to one’s native language.
The Podcasts app now has transcripts, with some foreign language support. ?Per Apple, “Transcripts let you follow an episode with text that highlights in sync with the audio in English, Spanish, French and German.” ?

Thanks Bev. That is how I turned it on the first time. Maybe Apple made it not work on the lock screen to save battery. Now when I touch the screen it shows for about 5 seconds.
I haven’t tried this, but it seems like what you want: I have managed to turn off the weather lock screen animation. Anyone know how to turn is back on? Internet searches have not helped.

This is true if you do a full reset. To do a full reset you must turn off Find My which requires you to know the iCloud password.?
